The royal family is a tight-knit group that does their best to be there for each other during the good and bad times. Whether gathering for a special event or just spending the day together for a royal engagement, royal family members have shown that they truly care for each other. Kate Middleton and Prince William married in April 2011 and have been gracing the world with their beautiful romance ever since. They have three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Over the years, the family has been spotted out and about. Though Kate and William do their best to keep their personal life private, it was only a matter of time before people began to notice how the Prince and Princess of Wales doted on their three adorable children. Throughout their many outings and interactions as a family, the royal couple has shown love, affection and support for each other and their kids.
As the British royal family was rocked with serious health issues in 2024, the Waleses were particularly affected after Kate was diagnosed with an unspecified form of cancer. Keeping them together is Prince William, who turned 42 in 2024. Besides providing his beloved wife with the support she needed during these difficult times, he also had to step up in the public sphere when his father, King Charles III, stepped back after his own cancer diagnosis in early 2024. Despite the challenges William faced during this period, the first in line to the British throne never neglected his duties as a father, above all.
This was evident in June 2024, when he took George and Charlotte out for a night of great music and dancing during Taylor Swift’s world tour stop at Wembley Stadium.

Born on June 21, 1982, Prince William, the Prince of Wales, is the eldest son of King Charles III and his former wife, Princess Diana. Even his birth was an iconic moment. The following morning, his parents debuted the newborn prince to the world on the steps of St. Mary's Hospital, London, for his very first photo op.
As the years went by, the world watched on as Prince William continued to experience new adventures and grow right before our eyes. However, there were also heartbreaking moments along the way, including the passing of his mother and his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
William has continued to use his title and platform to make the royal family proud and be a voice for those in need, encouraging others to help make the world a better place. While he has been a busy man for most of his adult life, William has also made sure to celebrate all the happy occasions with his loved ones.
His 42nd birthday in 2024 coincided with the Wembley stop of music superstar Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, and even William couldn’t let this opportunity slide by. The royal family members were among 90,000 others who packed Wembley Stadium for the show. Other famous faces in attendance that night were model Cara Delevingne and “Bridgerton” star Nicola Coughlan.
Naturally, Swift’s team knew that William and his children were going to attend the show and made sure to give the trio a royal welcome. Swift and William are no strangers, having shared a stage together more than 10 years ago in 2013 at Kensington Palace to perform “Livin’ On A Prayer” with Jon Bon Jovi for a charity event.

After the Wembley show, both Swift and William shared some sweet backstage photos. Kensington Palace’s official social media account shared a picture-perfect snap of Swift taking a selfie with William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The children looked absolutely ecstatic to meet the pop princess and music royalty as William’s face lit up with a broad and glowing smile.
“Thank you @TaylorSwift for a great evening!” the caption read.
Meanwhile, Swift pulled in her beau American football star Travis Kelce for a selfie with the royal family, which she posted to her Instagram with the caption:
“Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start.”
While the backstage snaps certainly proved Prince William had a splendid night out with the kids, even more surprising evidence of just how special the outing was shared. After the show, a video of Prince William dancing vigorously on the upper decks of the stadium to Swift’s electric performance of her megahit “Shake It Off” began making the rounds.
Royal fans couldn’t help but commend his “dad dancing” and praised him for being a down-to-earth father.
“Such Dad moves! Love to see him being a regular Dad!” one fan wrote, while another said: “William is the ultimate cool dad with his funky daddy moves….his kids must have a blast with him around.”
Many others also voiced their relief at seeing William able to enjoy some lighter moments after such a rough few months.
“Can you imagine the stress he's under his father's illness and his young wife , must hit him recently.. so happy for him to be a daddy dancer,” one user said as another remarked: “Good for him and his children. After everything they have been through lately, they need to let loose. Prince William is truly amazing.”
