At yesterday's investiture ceremony, Prince William went one step further when awarding a man his MBE (Most Excellent Order of the British Empire).
Alex Duguid was being honored for his services to deaf people and British Sign Language education when Prince William used British Sign Language to communicate with Alex.
It was Alex's turn to receive the honor and Prince William began signing with his hands to say "Congratulations, Alex," with Alex replying "Thank you." It was a thoughtful gesture to further thank the sign language interpreter who has worked in the field for decades.
