Bindi Irwin, 22, announced via Instagram on Sunday, October 11th that her baby girl is now "about the same size as a mountain pygmy-possum."

Another pregnancy update from the daughter and eldest child of the late Steve Irwin is here. On Sunday, Bindi Irwin smiled as she posed for a picture holding her baby bump at home.

"My beautiful mum took this photo yesterday," the 22-year-old wrote. "Baby girl is doing great Every time we get an ultrasound she’s incredibly energetic and always moving around. She’s now about the same size as a mountain pygmy-possum. Too cute!" A mountain pygmy-possum measures to about four inches and weighs just about 0.1lbs.

Like the animal lover that she is, Bindi has been using animals to describe the growing size of her unborn daughter. This latest update comes just after eight days when she announced that she had entered her second trimester and that her baby was "about the size of a hamster."

And before that in mid-September, she explained that their little one is now about the size of a hummingbird, sharing a picture of her and husband Chandler Powell holding a koala and a baby kangaroo in their arms along with sonogram photos.

Chandler showed his excitement about being a new dad, writing on Instagram last month:  "Our little human joey with some of our Australia Zoo joeys. Can’t wait for our baby to meet everyone in person. Being a dad is already the highlight of my life."

The parents-to-be tied the knot on March 25 amid the early stages of the coronavirus pandemic.
