Precious Toddler Excitedly Performs Toby Keith’s ‘Should’ve Been A Cowboy’ From His Car Seat

Back in 1993, a song was released by Toby Keith and has been a part of the lives of most cowboys and even cowgirls. The song in question is called "Should've Been a Cowboy.” It was released as a debut single and hit number one on the music charts in no time. This song is what put Keith on the map as a country star.

This may have been where his cowboy persona began, but it didn't stop there. This persona stayed throughout his career and has been seen through other songs such as "A Few More Cowboys" and also "Beer for My Horses.”

When the song "Should've Been a Cowboy" was released, many fans felt the urge to head out west and find a horse to ride. The funny thing is that this song is still giving that same feeling to country fans all over, no matter their ages, either.

One young fan, in particular, seemed to be very moved by the song to the point that he needed to belt out the lyrics at the top of his little lungs in 2014. Then-3-year-old Xavier sang his own rendition of the hit while sitting in his car seat. His dad sat in the driver's seat, clearly amused by his little boy.

Xavier's father found a way to capture this cute and amazing moment on video. He then decided to share it online. Unsurprisingly, the world fell in love with the young boy’s energetic performance, causing it to gain some impressive traction. Even a country music star commented on the heartwarming video.

Many people find joy in singing in the car, and young Xavier proved to be no different. This young country music fan couldn’t contain his excitement when he belted out the words to the song “Should’ve Been a Cowboy.” Even though he was only 3 years old at the time, the tiny tot had some impressive pipes.

While his dad sat in the front seat of the moving car, smiling, Xavier sang along to the chorus of the hit song from 1993. Although Xavier could only slightly move back and forth, he still put in his best effort to make his rendition of Keith’s song a memorable one.

And it’s safe to say that people were thrilled by the results, especially considering the amount of traction the YouTube video has received. It was first posted back in November 2014 but has continued to hold a special place in people’s hearts. The video has garnered more than 343,000 views.

Several people have left comments praising Xavier for his version of the song. One person said, “Awwwww so so cute and funny. I love it.” Another agreed, simply saying, “So so cute.” Another viewer reminded people how precious moments with their children can be and said, “You can be having a bad day ... until you get to hear youngster's singing!”

The video even made its way to none other than Keith himself! He happily left a comment on the clip, saying, “Sing it little man! #TeamToby.”
