Plus-Sized Fashion Influencer ‘Roasted’ For Wearing Revealing Dress Has Ultimate Comeback Against Haters

Fashion is a fluid word that means different things to different people. What fashion is, what influences it, how it affects our lives and its level of importance cannot be fully explained by a single person. This is evident in the different definitions of fashion by great minds who have walked through the fashion industry.
Legendary fashion columnist Diana Vreeland once referred to fashion as "part of the daily air, and it changes all the time, with all the events. You can even see the approaching of a revolution in clothes. You can see and feel everything in clothes."
Style, on the other hand, is an individual's interpretation of fashion. Fashion and style are often confused for the same thing. Although both terms have overlaps, they are entirely different. While fashion might mean different things to different people, it is more collective than individualistic in expression. Because of this significant difference between the two, people wear the same trendy fashion pieces differently.
People consider several factors, including their size, body shape and height, before choosing their style. Regardless of what factors are considered before a person creates their style, self-confidence will play a major role in driving it home. These days, people of different body sizes, especially plus-size people, have channeled self-confidence into their style. But internet trolls are not comfortable with the fact that this group of people can rock just whatever fashion items they choose.
Despite their disapproval, plus-size people have donned their preferred fashion pieces. Steph Oshiri, a fashion content creator, is a plus-sized fashion enthusiast comfortable wearing revealing dresses and creating social media content. In a TikTok video, Oshiri posted on Sept. 23, 2022, the fashion influencer ignored trolls' opinions about her dress and had the perfect response after she was criticized for her style choices. Oshiri, a plus size fashion content creator, loves to try on trendy, close-fitting outfits from fast fashion brands to make video content reviewing the outfits on her TikTok account. But her love for these outfits makes her a target for trolls who are particular about putting her down for her confidence.
Regardless of how trolls react to her content, Oshiri has grown a thick skin, living above their distaste for her outfits. In a TikTok video posted by the content creator on Sept. 23, 2022, she donned a dress from Forever 21. The blue dress, an off-shoulder three-quarter dress, had two hip-high slits, thus accentuating her curves and revealing some skin.
Although most comments admired her dress, some trolls found a way to spew their negativity. Oshiri paid them no mind; instead, she returned with another TikTok video to share the dress’s details.
"I may have been roasted for this dress but I love it," she wrote in the video.
Oshiri explained that the dress had clasps that held the slits in place; however, she couldn't use them because they wouldn't stay in place.
"It took me an ungodly amount of time to get into this dress because it has one of those clasps that clasp right there, and it just kept snapping open," she said. "I personally think its giving greek goddess 😇 #plussize #selflove #MyFallStarbucksOrder #greekgodesses 😈," she added in the caption to any haters out there.
The video's comment section was filled with admiration for Oshiri's look and confidence.
"it is like you got a blessing from aphrodite," one follower wrote.
"She's giving me perfection vibes 🥰❤️," wrote another.
"this dress is PERFECT on youuuu!!!!!!," wrote a third person.
Despite being trolled for her style, Oshiri paid no attention and remained confident in herself. She is indeed an amazing woman.
