Pierce Brosnan Fans Gushed Over Him Being ‘Very Handsome’ In New Photo Featuring His Silver Hair & Full Beard

Born Pierce Brendan Brosnan on May 16, 1953, in Drogheda, County Louth, in his home country of Ireland, the actor is popularly known for portraying the role of the iconic secret agent James Bond. He was able to star in four of its franchises: “GoldenEye,” “Tomorrow Never Dies,” “Die Another Day,” and “The World Is Not Enough.”

At a young age, his father abandoned his family, and by the age of four, his mother went to London to work as a nurse. This was the reason why most of his childhood was spent with his grandparents. 

His love for acting began after he left school at the young age of 16. He immediately went to the Drama Centre in London and spent three years of training. He became an actor in several stage shows before he landed his breakout role on the TV show “Remington Steele.”

After his James Bond stint, he became internationally known and later on appeared in Hollywood movies like “Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief,” “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again,” “Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga,” and many more.

His acting talent has been recognized by some of the biggest award-giving platforms, like the Golden Globe Awards, where he has been nominated twice. He also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

In addition to his work as an actor, he’s also a renowned painter. Brosnan’s art is worth millions of dollars.

Regarding his love life, Pierce Brosnan was married to Australian actress Cassandra Harris. They had three children together. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and battled the illness for four years before her death in December 1991. This was also the same disease that claimed the life of one of their children in 2013.

He later got married to Keely Shaye Smith, an American journalist, in 2001. They had two children. 

In May 2023, Brosnan celebrated his 70th birthday, and even though he’s aging, it appeared that he wanted to continue his career as he gave advice on how to stay active as you age.

In an interview with GQ Magazine published in 2018, he said: “Oh, just love and work. Work and love. That’s all it is, really. Be grateful that you have a partnership, or a friendship, or a few friends. And just get on with life. I don’t know any other way.”

Brosnan shared another anti-aging tip in 2018, as reported by the Daily Express, as he noted that people have to have “good faith.”

“I think I’ve found good faith in my life, and good faith in myself. You just have to be… You have to have good faith,” he said, then added, “You’re going to suffer one way or the other. You’re going to… It’s truly unavoidable, and so you just have to know that the days will get better, and you just have to endure whatever pain has been given to you. And then put it down and try to do a good thing.”

In 2023, the actor appeared to be in great shape as he constantly shared photos and videos on his official Instagram account.

In one snap, the actor wore a gray hoodie, a white tank top underneath, a pair of white pants, and sunglasses. He then gave a big smile to his wife, who took the picture.

In the caption, he greeted his fans and then promoted his movie, as he wrote: “Happy Sunday💥 If you’re heading to the cinema next week check out my new film Fast Charlie, in select theaters December 8 💥💥💥And on Apple TV December 8 💥💥💥”

In the film that he mentioned, he starred alongside Morgan Freeman, James Caan, Mezi Atwood, Morena Baccarin, and many more.
