People Say Jennifer Garner Is An “Angel’ After Her Moving Gesture To A Homeless Man In A Wheelchair

Jennifer Garner was born in Houston, Texas, on April 17, 1972, but grew up in West Virginia. After studying theatre at Denison University, she began acting as an understudy at the Roundabout Theatre Company in New York City. She debuted on-screen in the television film “Zoya” in 1995. Garner got her first big break after landing the lead role in the television series “Alias,” which aired from 2001 until 2006. During this time, she also made a real name for herself in the industry by starring in a variety of highly successful films, including “13 Going On 30,” “Daredevil” and “Elektra.” She married Ben Affleck in 2005  with Ben Affleck after starring together in “Pearl Harbor” in 2001 and “Daredevil” in 2003. 

Although the pair announced their intention to split in 2015, just three years after Samuel was born, the two movie stars are often pictured together with their kids, making it seem like family is important to both. While Garner is reportedly single now; she focuses on her kids, career, and new work endeavors. 

Aside from her acting prowess, Garner has been widely known for her humility, kindness, and generosity. In 2023, as a heartfelt gesture, she bought a parcel of land in Oklahoma as a gift to her family and to preserve their ancestral history. 

In September 2024, Garner’s kindness was on full display again when she was spotted helping a homeless man in a wheelchair and even giving him shoes after noticing that he was not wearing one. Keep reading to learn more about Garner’s heartwarming gesture of goodwill on a stranger.

In a video obtained by TMZ, a paparazzo trailing Garner filmed her as she interacted with a homeless man who approached her car. While the dialogue was inaudible, it can be seen that Garner was all smiles when she handed the man a bag of food and some personal care items for him to enjoy. 

As their interaction progressed, Garner noticed that the man was not wearing footwear despite using a wheelchair. Moments later, Garner got out of her vehicle and helped the man wear the socks she had just given him. Afterward, Garner was seen removing her shoes off and offering them to the man. However, the shoes didn’t seem to fit the man, and despite multiple attempts to make them fit, Garner approached the paparazzi and tried to buy his shoes for the homeless man.

“What size feet do you have?” Garner asked. “Can I buy your shoes for him? He needs a shoe.”

It was a good thing the paparazzi’s shoe size was 11, and the man's was 10.5. Garner insisted on paying the photographer for his shoes, but he gladly gave them away for free instead. After getting the pair of shoes, Garner happily helped the man wear them and was smiling broadly after tying the laces. 

People were moved by Garner’s kindness. On YouTube, people praised the “Elektra” actress. 

“She literally tried to give someone her own shoes off her feet. She is just an angel,” one said. 

“How many of us would put socks on a homeless persons feet?? Cameras or not, this is true servanthood. She doesn't need publicity. She has a pure heart,” another echoed.
