P!nk Teared Up After Reading Husband’s Emotional Birthday Greeting For Their Eldest Child

Over the years, P!nk has through and through proved to everyone that an A-list celebrity and singer like her can still be an incredible mother to two without making her children feel uncared for.

Although it’s been nearly two decades since the pop star’s debut single hit the Billboard Hot 100, the 43-year-old performer is still shaking things up in the entertainment industry. The singer, who has brought us hits such as “Get the Party Started” and “There You Go,” was born on Sept. 8, 1979, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.

P!nk, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore, began her music career in a girl band. When that didn’t work out, she went solo in 1999 at the age of 20 and has never looked back. According to Billboard, she has 15 top 10 hits and is one of the bestselling US music artists to date. 

Apart from being a trailblazer in the music industry, the punk princess has also come to be known for her quirky hairstyles throughout her career. The singer is hailed as changing the game for the pop world, not only through her edgy style of music but also for her openness, honesty and vulnerability. 

As her eldest daughter, Willow, celebrated her 12th Birthday on Jun. 2, 2023, P! nk’s husband, Carey Hart, posted an emotional Instagram post greeting about their daughter. P!nk, despite her hard and unfazed facade, is a soft and emotional person too. In the comments section, she expressed how her husband’s lengthy letter to her now teenage daughter has made her tear up too. P!nk started a family with former motocross racer Carey Hart after they got married back in 2006. The power couple welcomed their first child, Willow, in June 2011 and later welcomed their son, Jameson Moon Hart, in December 2016. P!nk’s family life has not gotten in the way of her career, however. 

2021 brought a huge development in Willow’s singing career, as she released, along with her mom, their first song together, titled “Cover Me In Sunshine.” The song debuted on the video-sharing social media platform TikTok and was later released officially via RCA Records. 

Talking to Drew Barrymore on her show, P!nk detailed how close her relationship with her daughter is:

“Willow and I talk about almost everything — we have a great relationship,” P!nk explained.

She also went on to point out that because of her job and livelihood, she has helped other people too. But despite the insurmountable task of having other people depend on her, P!nk clarified that this should not get in the way of Willow’s life. 

“That doesn’t mean that it means more than your childhood or what you mean to me. ‘I’ll walk away tomorrow. If that’s what you want, I’ll walk away tomorrow,’” P!nk recalled telling Willow. 

As her daughter celebrated her 12th birthday on Jun. 2, 2023, she wrote a touching letter dedicated to her: 

“Ugh. My darling. My lovely, unique, brilliant, odd little duckling. I am so into you. I carry your heart with me(I carry it in my heart)…. Don’t forget, you chose all of this… and you get to keep choosing. I love your choices. I’ll be here, close by. Smiling with pride and wonder. Go get em tiger. Happy birthday.”

Aside from P!nk, her husband, Hart, also penned a heartfelt message that got the singer tearing up. 

In Hart’s Instagram post, he shared photos of Willow throughout the years – from when she was still a baby until now, when she is a full-blown teenager. 

“Where to even begin. This lil girl has changed my life over the last 12 years. My 1st born, and instant head over heels, love. The love that a father has for his daughter is one that I’ve never experienced and that I can’t explain,” he wrote in the letter. 

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Hart attributed to his children the growth that he and P!nk had eventually. 

“Children made us grow up a lot more. You can’t be young and loose and petty and fighting as much with children, so children definitely made us grow up and prioritize and kinda get in our lane and stay in our lane,” he said. 

In his message, Hart confessed that it was Willow who “softened” him over the years and made him “look at the world through different eyes, and experience things in a way that I never would have.”

“Thank you Willow for all that you are. You amaze me daily and also drive me crazy! I can’t wait to see the human you become through life. I truly feel that you are gonna change the world. I love you from here, to the moon, around 10 million times, and back. Happy Birthday, Munchkin. Mama cooked a great one!!!!,” he added.  

Over to the comments section, many greeted Willow, including P!nk, who admitted that the post “made me cry like a baby.”

Willow celebrated her 12th birthday with the whole family in an obstacle course play park in Manchester in the United Kingdom.
