P!nk is known for being one strong woman, and now she's showing the world once again in a new Instagram post. Recently posting a photo of herself wake surfing, she commented on her strong body, showing how proud she is of it.
P!nk and her family have been enjoying the summer lately, as she and her husband Carey Hart have both been posting photos to Instagram of them and their family enjoying summer water sports such as swimming and wake surfing.
In a series of posts shared yesterday, P!nk showed their family wake surfing on a lake, including an adorable video of Carey and their son Jameson together on one board. She also posted a touching photo of her carrying Jameson, with the caption: "Lake days are the best days."
But it's a photo she posted of herself that is truly inspiring. Showing P!nk in a swimsuit and life vest, the pop star is wake surfing and looks to be having the time of her life. But it's the comment that carries more meaning. It says:
"I always wondered why God gave me thunder thighs. It’s cause he knew I’d use them. #throwingbuckets #strongismygoal #joyful #wakesurfgirl #somebodysponsormealready"

P!nk has been vocal about body positivity in the past, having posted a personal message to herself on her Twitter earlier this year. It read:
"Letter to self; Dear Me, you’re getting older. I see lines. Especially when you smile. Your nose is getting bigger..You look (and feel) weird as you get used to this new reality. But your nose looks like your kids, and your face wrinkles where you laugh. And yeah you idiot..u smoked."
She continued in another tweet:
"Continued note to self: Every once in a while you consider altering your face, and then you watch a show where you want to see what the person is feeling... and their face doesn’t move. I’m [sic] cannot get behind it. I just can’t."
She added, "I want my children to know what I look like when I’m angry" before finishing her twitter thread with a powerful last tweet. As reported by People magazine, it read:
“I’m fortunate because I’ve never really depended on my looks, I’ve decided that my talent and my individuality is far more important than my face. So get on board cause I am about to AGE THE OL FASHIONED WAY (in a tutu ruling s— at 30 mph 100 ft in the air over 40) yassssssss.”
P!nk is a true role model to everybody out there, especially women and young girls, who often feel the pressures of conforming to society's expectations. She also sent a strong message to her daughter Willow a few years ago when she won at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards. She recounted how she had a conversation with Willow where the young girl said she was the "ugliest girl I know" and that she looked "like a boy with long hair." P!nk went on to inspire her daughter by showing her androgynous rock stars including David Bowie, Michael Jackson, and Annie Lennox, before telling her:
"So, baby girl, we don't change. We take the gravel in the shell and we make a pearl. And we help other people to change so that they can see more kinds of beauty...and you, my darling girl, are beautiful. I love you."
P!nk is an amazing woman with integrity behind her actions, and we always love seeing what she's up to.
