After 55-year-old Keanu Reeves had kept his love life a secret for years, he and Alexandra Grant made their relationship official at the 2019 LACMA Art + Film Gala when they walked the red carpet hand-in-hand.

Shortly after, Jennifer Tilly told Page Six that Keanu and 47-year-old Grant had actually been friends since 2011. She went on to share that the two had already been dating several years before going public.

People were thrilled to see Keanu Reeves so happy with his girlfriend Alexandra Grant. Therefore many didn’t expect him to bring someone else as his date to this year’s Oscars Ceremony…

Instead of Alexandra Grant, Keanu Reeves walked the red carpet with his mother Patricia Taylor who appeared in a stunning white pantsuit paired with nude heels and a silver clutch.

Patricia looked gorgeous and made it hard to believe that she is already 76-years-old. Apparently people thought so too, as many kept confusing Keanu Reeves’s mother with Alexandra Grant.

After the mother-son duo walked the red carpet, many people admitted that they had mistaken the two women.

Hopefully, none of the women was offended by these comments. It was definitely a compliment for Patricia Taylor to be confused with someone who’s about 30 years younger than her.

Despite all this confusion, Keanu Reeves and his mother were an adorable duo on the red carpet and it was a pleasure to see them interact.
