The film is even played on Freeform's 31 Nights of Halloween, programming that typically consists of 27 classic Halloween movies. If you are curious as to what happened to the actors and actresses of the film after its release, here is a short rundown of what our beloved cast has been up to.

Hocus Pocus fans may remember Bette Midler as the famous Winifred Sanderson; however, this role was not the only one she was famous for at the time. In 1979, a few years before the release of Hocus Pocus, she earned an Oscar nomination for her role in the film The Rose. Many may not even realize that she sang the film's title soundtrack.

By the 1990s, Bette had accomplished plenty of things, including receiving two Emmys, three Golden Globe awards, a Special Tony Award, and three Grammy awards, her IMDb lists. Bette Midler was very successful in her career, and one can only assume that she achieved the same extent of glory for the rest of her life.

Years after the film, Bette has continued to receive and accomplish many more feats. Due to her brilliant performance in the film Hello Dolly! she received a Tony, Drama Desk Award, and Outer Critics Circle Award.

This was all in 2017, but 2015 was an amazing year for her as well. During the year of 2015, Bette was on her 10th concert tour, which was named Divine Intervention.

You may have recently seen her appear in modern cinema, in films such as Wedding Day Winners, The Goldbergs, and The Good Place. One of her more notable performances occurred in 2019 when she was invited to perform at the 2019 Oscars. She gave a wonderful rendition of the famous ballad, The Place Where Lost Things Go, a melody best-known from Mary Poppins Returns.

Although she has taken to producing and directing, she has still made the occasional appearance in popular films. Her recent roles include Judge Gayle in The Good Fight and Wendy Keegan in Veep.

Unlike a majority of his fellow actors and actresses, Sean Murray was only 16 when we played the role of Emily's older brother in Hocus Pocus. Because of his young age, he had not had much experience in the acting field, and he had recently begun to receive acknowledgment for his work. In 1993, he starred in the films, This Boy's Life, Civil Wars, and Too Romantic.

After his appearance in Hocus Pocus, plenty of opportunities have opened up for Sean, and he has accomplished every one of them. He is mainly known for his roles in TV series such as The Random Years, Touched by an Angel, and Harts of the West. His most notable role, however, is Timothy McGee in NCIS.

Omri Katz

Like Sean, Omri Katz was fairly young when he was cast to play Max in Hocus Pocus. Although he was only 17 Omri had begun his acting career at age seven, during his first role in the TV series Dallas as little John Ross Ewing.

While not much has been heard about Omri's recent accomplishments, his ex co-star, Vinessa Shaw, posted a photo of them together in 2015. His records show that after his appearance in the film Journey Into the Night, he took up a new profession as a hairdresser. Since his last role in 2002, he has kept a low profile and has disabled a majority of his social media accounts.
