Only A GENIUS Will Understand This Math Problem

Only truly intelligent people will be able to correctly work out this interesting math equation. There is something about this problem that does not quite add up, but can you work it out? This one had me thinking so hard I may even have burned a few calories ;)

Ok, here is the answer:

It is actually a sort of code! The first number is the difference between the two being added together. The numbers after it are the result of adding the two numbers.

For example: in 15 + 3, the difference between 15 and 3 is 12, and when added together 15 and 3 make 18. So together, you have 1218!
