One Decade Before, They Were Called The Prettiest Twin Sisters On Record — Today They Are Grown Up

Children are as varied as adults, and like grown-ups, their appearance can differ greatly. Some kids might be cute and cherubic, while others might have more serious and adultlike faces. For one pair of twin sisters named Ava Marie and Leah Rose Clements, their faces — which boast glowing green eyes and large smiles — earned them the title of the "world's most beautiful twins" by a number of media outlets some years ago.
Currently working as models, actresses, and influencers, they've been doing professional work since they were just 7 years old. Born in July 2010, the twins are 11 this year and their careers are only continuing to rise. With an Instagram following of 1.8 million, they have fans all over the world. They've even worked with brands including Nike, Disney, Mattel, and Target. Considering the popularity they've already achieved at such a young age, their future will no doubt be incredibly bright.
Their mother Jaqi Clements and father Kevin Clements are also in the public eye, managing the girls' careers and doing activist work of their own. They also have an older brother named Chase Clements, who also models too. Needless to say, the entire Clements family is very photogenic!
Ever since Ava and Leah were dubbed the world's most beautiful twins they've grown up a bit, and although their appearance has also grown along with them, they're still certainly as pretty as ever. Let's take a look at their journey to becoming the world's most beautiful twins and what they're up to today.

Born on July 7, 2010, Ava Marie and Leah Rose Clements were natural beauties even at a young age. Their mother, Jaqi Clements, said that she was often stopped by strangers on the street that would comment on the girls and their striking looks, with their piercing green eyes and wide smiles. It was these strangers continually commenting on the girls and their beauty that encouraged her to look into modeling for the twins when they were 6 months old.
However, Jaqi became sidetracked when her son and the girls' older brother, Chase Clements, was hitting the dreaded toddler years. It was too much on Jaqi's busy mom plate to deal with at the time, so she put off the modeling aspirations for a bit. Eventually, life finally calmed down and Jaqi was able to explore the modeling options for Ava and Leah. Not surprisingly, every modeling agency that Jaqi contacted was eager to sign the girls. It did not take long for them to sign with two agencies.
Jaqi first created an Instagram page to show off her daughters' beauty when they turned 7 years old. Currently, this social media page has over 1.8 million followers and continues to grow every day. Run by the twins' parents, Jaqi and her husband Kevin Clements, the incredibly popular Instagram account offers a glimpse into the girls' life and what projects they're currently working on, as well as any trips they've taken. The entire Clements family also features a lot on their Instagram page, showing just how close the family really is.

After signing to a modeling agency at the age of 7, the girls began to work professionally. It was around this time that they were dubbed the "most beautiful girls in the world" and the "world's most beautiful twins" by various media outlets including "The Sun," "Daily Mail," 7news.com.au and many more. Their Instagram following also ballooned around this time, before arriving at the 1.8 million followers they have today.
In an interview with "Buzzfeed" in 2019, Jaqi spoke about Ava and Leah's meteoric rise to success and how she ensures that the girls have a fairly normal upbringing. Most importantly, the girls are still attending school. Jaqi explained:
"Any jobs that they book through Instagram I schedule on weekends or right after school so that they don’t have to miss any class. If they book a job through their agency, there is a teacher on set to help them with their school work."
She continued:
"On days they aren’t working, they go to school and then usually go to swim practice, dance class, or play outside with their friends in the neighborhood."
When they do have to work, it usually involves getting up early and driving for two hours to Los Angeles from Orange County, where the Clements family lives. Jaqi says that on those days she'll often surprise the girls with lunch or dinner plans, and sometimes a fun outing with friends of theirs who live in L.A. Despite being child models there is still a lot of work that goes into what Ava and Leah do, especially for their parents, so it's important to find a balance.
But their hard work is also paid off in the lavish lifestyle they've begun to live. Jaqi said in the same interview with "Buzzfeed":
"This past year has been really fun and exciting for Ava and Leah. Whether it be private shopping experiences, gifted merchandise from brands all over the world, or taking pictures with fans, the girls have had an amazing ride so far. Of course, what’s most important to them is the friends they’ve made along the way."
As well as Instagram, Jaqi has started a YouTube channel for the twins, however, they still don't have direct access to either platform, with their parents handling their social media accounts. She said in the same "Buzzfeed" interview:
"Sometimes I will allow them to come up with a question they want to ask their followers under their post for the day and then I’ll let them read the responses from their followers."
But their success hasn't come without criticism, with some people slamming Jaqi for putting her children in the public eye and allegedly using them to earn money. Jaqi commented on the topic in 2017, as reported by "The Sun," and explained that when she suggested the idea of modeling to the girls, they were thrilled at the idea of trying it. She wrote:
"I presented my idea to the girls that if they were up for it, in addition to their dance classes and swim team practices they had every week, they could give modeling a try. I was not surprised at all when they started jumping up and down and couldn't wait to begin."
Jaqi has also written a blog post on Ava and Leah's official website which debunks some of the things that people have said about them, for example, that they look sad, whether they're wearing makeup in their photos, and that she should just let them be kids. Fully aware that putting her family in the public eye has opened her up to criticism, Jaqi asks that "If you have nothing nice to say, don't say it." She ends the blog post with a positive message:
"As parents we all want the best for our kids. We want them to find things they enjoy doing in life and support them on their journey. I didn’t decide that my girls were going to start modeling, they did. And if the day ever comes that they want to move on to something else, I will 100% support their decision to do that. But for now, kids or not, this is something that they enjoy doing!"
But Ava and Leah are more than just models — they're also kept busy by being on swim and dance teams. A section titled "Fam Facts" revealed that they've been getting dance lessons since they were 2-and-a-half years old.
Another adorable photo on their Instagram shows the girls on their first day of preschool holding up signs with what they wanted to be when they grew up — Leah wanted to be Cinderella, while Ava wanted to be Tiana. Jaqi explains that she didn't have the heart to tell them they weren't real jobs but figured that if they still wanted to pursue those dreams when they were older, they didn't live far from Disneyland!
Ava and Leah's older brother Chase also models, but his interest in basketball appears to have taken precedence. So much so, that Chase cut his hair shorter when he started playing on a basketball team. He also has 95,000 followers of his own, which is no small feat.
It is not hard to see where the children get their beauty when you see the pictures of their striking parents. Jaqi and Kevin have been together for over 15 years and lived in nine locations during that time, including in Maryland, Louisiana, and California, where the family currently resides. Jaqi, who's originally from New Jersey, has a rather large presence on Instagram herself, with over 213,000 followers. She also models, even sometimes with her two daughters. And just like Ava and Leah's page, hers is also full of family photos, proving that family really does mean everything to her.
The girls' father Kevin was actually a professional swimmer for Speedo when he was younger, and he even trained with Michael Phelps. In 2003, he was ranked third in the world in the 200-meter individual medley! Like everyone else in the Clements family, Kevin also has a strong social media presence, with over 263,000 followers. Tragically, however, in 2019, Kevin found out he had a rare and aggressive form of cancer called T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma. As well as beginning chemotherapy, he needed to have a bone marrow transplant. In a positive use of Ava and Leah's large following, the family used their account to try and find Kevin a donor, before his brother ended up stepping in to help him out.
Ever since Kevin's diagnosis, the family has dedicated time to campaigning for cancer awareness. They've also helped DKMS — the largest bone marrow donor center in the world — with bone marrow drives. Taking a negative that's affected their family, the Clements family have in turn used their large social media following to bring about positive change in the world. Speaking with "People," Jaqi said:
“We can help spread awareness so that more people decide to become donors. There’s just so much you could do with this platform. And it’s taken about two years to build, but I think we can really get out there and help a lot of people. That’s our new focus right now.”
Meanwhile, Kevin told "People" in the same interview:
"At the end of the day, life needs to move forward. There’s so much love out there. I’ve gotten text messages, emails, and phone calls from people who I haven’t heard from since college. It has helped our family really deal with it in a very positive way.”
Ever since having the bone marrow transplant done in December 2019, Kevin has been on the road to recovery. He has detailed his progress in various YouTube videos and on Instagram, and although it's not easy, he appears to be fighting and doing well. In an Instagram post from November 2020, he wrote:
"The further I get from transplant the better I feel. It will be a glorious day when I’m off meds and no longer need shots. . . . One day at a time."
There's no denying the Clements family's love and support for one another. From Jaqi and Kevin doing everything for their children's careers to the rest of the family's support of Kevin amid his cancer diagnosis. One recent post on the twins' Instagram celebrates Kevin's second chance at life, with a gorgeous photo of Kevin, Ava, and Leah with the caption:
"Today is our dad’s birthday 🎉 Not his original birthday but the day he was given his second chance at life... the day he received his bone marrow transplant one year ago. We are so lucky that our dad is here with us today and know he fought hard because he loves us so much. Happy Birthday Daddy @kevin_r_clements ❤️ You are our hero 💪🏼"
Most recently, the family of five had a short holiday together in Palm Springs in February, which coincided with Kevin's 41st birthday. The photos show that they spent their time swimming and taking much-needed breaks from their busy schedules.
As Ava and Leah approach their 11th birthday, the girls are truly growing up. No longer the young kids they were when they first began modeling, they're now certified tweens and soon enough will be entering teenagehood. One thing has remained the same though — how pretty they are. Years after being named the "most beautiful twins" and "most beautiful girls in the world," it's likely they could still claim these titles. With a passion for modeling, we're sure this is only the beginning of their very long career in the spotlight.
Do you think Ava and Leah are still the most beautiful twins in the world? Be sure to spread the word about their incredible beauty to those you know!
