Though menstrual cramps are painful, the pain of giving birth is known to be ten times more painful. The pain from menstrual cramps does not come close to the level of pain experienced when in labor.

Being able to bring a baby into the world along with holding her for the first time makes it all worth it. As you look into your baby’s eyes, you will be brought to tears as your love blossoms into something beautiful and unconditional.

Giving birth is a wonderful experience and life-giving accomplishment. Not all women get to take part in the precious moment of bringing another life into this world. It is precious and one that should not be taken for granted.

I admire all women who undergo the long journey of carrying a developing baby in the belly for nine months consecutively. It is a wonderful challenge and a great mechanism for the building of the character of not one, but many individuals involved in the process of giving birth.

Have you ever participated in the birthing of a new life into the world? What was your experience like?
