Actor Neil Patrick Harris is known for his star-stealing portrayals on the screen and stage, so it's no surprise to learn that he and his family are incredibly fond of the magic of Disney. The Walt Disney Company, which was started by the eponymous Walt Disney and has been around since 1923, has long stood as a beacon of unbridled creativity and imagination. It is especially loved by children.

In an interview with People, Harris revealed that his family — which consists of his husband David Burtka and their two children, 10-year-old twins Harper Grace and Gideon Scott — travel to Orlando's Disney World every year at Christmas. In fact, he stated that he will continue taking his kids to the resort every year until they "can't stand" him anymore. That doesn't sound too bad to us — we're sure plenty of kids would only dream of such a family trip each year!

The news came as Harris was speaking with the magazine about his new partnership with hospitality group Accor. He spoke about travel and family vacations, opening up about him and his family's love of Disney, as well as other locations that are further afield. He stars in Accor's new digital campaign titled ALL Gets Real, which sees him navigate a post-pandemic world through the lens of travel.

Well-loved in his performance roles, which include starring in the shows "Doogie Howser, M.D.," "How I Met Your Mother," "A Series of Unfortunate Events," and hosting the Emmys, Tonys, and Oscars, Harris' career has never faltered.

In speaking with People, Neil Patrick Harris opened up about his family's love of Disney, stating:

"Our kids have grown up appreciating and valuing not only the amusement rides, but the architecture and the Imagineering that goes on, both in front and behind the scenes."

He goes on to add:

"So I still look back on how that has been an important part of their lives and I can't wait to continue it until they can't stand me anymore."

He explains that his 10-year-old twins Gideon Scott and Harper Grace, who he shares with his husband David Burtka, have been traveling "since they were less than one year old." Speaking about what they're like to travel with, he adds:

"They're good, they like to travel. It gives them extra time to play on their screens, which is the greatest dangling carrot advice anyone can give. Let them sit and watch things that they want to watch when they're on an airplane because it's a great diversion."

The interview took place as Harris has a new partnership with Accor, the hospitality group. He stars in their latest digital campaign title ALL Gets Real, which sees him teaching the audience how to be a "real person" when traveling again post-pandemic. In the campaign, Harris takes on travel-related etiquette lessons on topics such as planning, dressing, greetings, small talk and relaxing. He said of the campaign:

"It's relatively tongue in cheek, but I think it's a good way to get your brain around the notion of travel again."

On top of Walt Disney World, Harris opened up about another travel destination that's "high up on their list as well." He revealed it's a seaside location off the coast of Croatia in Europe. He explained:

"A few years ago we went to Croatia to visit a friend in Hvar, which is a spectacular, small, amazing destination [in] the gorgeous Adriatic Sea. We would just swim up to a rocky crag and climb super high and then jump into the water."

Sounds like heaven to us! Now a picture-perfect family of four, it wasn't always easy for Harris, who came out publicly in 2006, decades after having already been in show business. Harris and Burtka have been together since 2004, two years before Harris came out publicly in 2006. He told People at the time:

"I am happy to dispel any rumors or misconceptions and am quite proud to say that I am a very content gay man living my life to the fullest and feel most fortunate to be working with wonderful people in the business I love."

In 2010, the couple announced that they were expecting twins via a surrogate mother, and their children were born in October of that same year. One year later they announced their engagement when the Marriage Equality Act was passed in New York in 2011, however, they revealed they'd already proposed five years earlier. They then got married in 2014 in Italy, in a ceremony that was officiated by Pamela Fryman, a longstanding director of "How I Met Your Mother," while Elton John performed at the wedding.
