Needy Cats Have Been Tricked Into Laying On Fake Laps

Cats love to lay on laps and for these cats, any lap will do! They can be seen on an awesome video enjoying the company of fake laps created by their owners. 

The cats, a soft gray and white Himalayan, and an orange tabby love laps so much their owner decided to create some permanent ones they can use anytime. A wall spot was designated to put two fake dummy laps in chairs just for the cats!

The "laps" are eerily similar to the real thing. They include one set up as a male lap and the other as a female lap with men and women's T-shirts hanging across the front of the chair backs and stuffed jeans "sitting" in the chairs as real people.

No detail was left out as cat owners even completed the look of the fake laps with placing their tennis shoes at the bottom of the jeans.

Eric and Ollie didn't seem to know the difference from the simulated laps and their true owners as each took to a chair to sit quietly as their owners captured it all on a video posted to Rumble. They appear to be quite content.

Why do cats love laps? Cat experts say there are a number of reasons. Cats like to feel safe and also do it to show they trust you. Sometimes, they like the way your clothes feel or smell. They like to be connected to you and love it when you pet them, so putting themselves squarely in front of you makes bonding - and petting - easier.

Most of all, you're warm! Cats love the warmth and it really is that simple as that is the first reason for them wanting to sit in your lap. This is also why a cat will lay on your computer! Eric and Ollie obviously have many needs since they require more than just their owner's daily attention. It's a good thing they have a loving family who is willing to meet their demands. These cats appear to have it made since their family went to so much trouble to make them happy!
