For many of us, the loss of Jason Momoa’s beard is still fresh. He decided to shave off his beard for the first time in the last seven years and sent shock waves around the world.

Thankfully, the beard is on its way back. Hallelujah!

That’s right, we have confirmation from the Khal himself. In an interview with Ellen, Momoa discussed, among other things, the matter of the beard. Apparently, Momoa originally intended for Ellen to do the deed and shave it off, but those plans were cut short due to scheduling issues. According to Ellen, though, he is starting to grow it back, which is great news for the legions of Momoa fans yearning for its return. Also good news: on the same show, Momoa took off his jacket and showed Ellen how to throw axes for charity. It was pretty amazing, you should really check it out.

Of course, beards take a long time to grow. I can already feel some of you getting antsy over there. That’s okay. It’s a natural reaction.
