Mother Reveals Her Distinctive Triplets Bump, Shares Experience Of Being Pregnant With Multiples

People who experience pregnancies go through a plethora of changes. From adjusting your everyday life to preparing a nursery, there are a lot of factors that go into getting ready to have a baby. It’s common for women to gain weight during this time as they make sure that their unborn child is getting all of the required nutrients, preparing for a healthy and safe birth. On top of that, pregnant people also have a noticeable bump that continues to grow throughout their pregnancy, showing just how far along their baby is in his or her development.

Michella Meier-Morsi from Copenhagen, Denmark, shocked the internet with her baby bump, particularly because of its size and the way it stretched from her body. She was pregnant with triplets, leaving her with a bump that looked like it grew straight out rather than up and down.

The mother posted her pregnancy journey on her Instagram account, documenting everything up until the birth of her children on Jan. 14, 2022, and what her body now looks like post-delivery. She also talked about her fears and excitement about welcoming her newborn babies.

Nowadays, Meier-Morsi and her husband Mark are enjoying life as a family of seven, as they already had two children prior to the birth of their triplets. Their triplets’ names are Charles, Theodore and Gabriel. The parents definitely have their hands full with their little bundles of joy. Along with showing off some adorable pictures of her kids, Meier-Morsi has also continued to show the progress of her belly.

According to the Daily Mail, Meier-Morsi admitted just a few days before giving birth to her triplets that she “did not feel ready” to welcome three babies into the world, despite feeling extreme pain toward the end of her pregnancy. The mother also documented her pregnancy on her Instagram, showing how her belly appeared to grow “straight out” rather than “up and down,” as per the Daily Mail

On Jan. 13, 2022, Meier-Morsi posted a video, highlighting her bump at 35 weeks pregnant. While the expecting mom expressed her excitement to meet her babies, she also talked about how nervous she was about the C-section – something that she had a bad experience with in the past. Still, Meier-Morsi tried to stay optimistic. “We’ve been holding on to them for over 35 weeks,” she explained. “And so we can’t really do more than hope for the best!”

Many people were left speechless after seeing the mom’s belly, with some even calling her a “superhero,” according to the Daily Mail. Meier-Morsi later uploaded a photo showing what her belly looked like about 10 days after giving birth. Her belly that once was very large, poking straight out, had taken on a new look as she was left with loose skin.

The mom posted a cute photo of all five of her kids. She talked about how hard it was to care for all of them while she was still in the hospital, saying she was “torn between two sets of children and two different needs.” Mark cared for the older girls at home while Meier-Morsi stayed in the hospital with the triplets. Fortunately, the entire family is now all together and enjoying their lives as a family of seven.

Meier-Morsi opened up about her recovery postpartum as well on her Instagram, where she has over 318k followers. She uses her platform to share her journey of motherhood. The Sun reported that the mother wrote that "The birth went much better than feared – I got it bad along the way, but it was not nearly as bad as last time."

Meier-Morsi also shared a photo of her postpartum stomach 10 days after giving birth, and said that it had "already become significantly smaller" but was "heavy and incredibly painful." She added, "The last few days, the stomach has felt like a big black mark, it even hurts to breathe" but the new mom to five children also said that it would "be exciting and nerve-racking to see how my body plans to heal."

Pregnancy affects all women differently; some women's stomachs bounce back quickly while others' bellies remain enlarged for months. A condition called diastasis recti, where the left and right abdominal muscles separate, can make things even more complicated when it comes to healing. Meier-Morsi did not share if she experience any such conditions, but it is clear that carrying multiple babies till 35 weeks is a feat that many other bodies may not be able to go through.

While the bodily effects of a multiple pregnancy have been covered by Meier-Morsi, she also shared some of the problems that arise emotionally for her other children. In one post, she wrote, "But I don't recognize my girls at all after 11 days🙈 They are angry, defiant, hugely bored and simply unruly and rude. They miss us and definitely feel let down in some way. And it's completely unforeseeable."

Having such a large family is hard, but based on other posts by Meier-Morsi, she says it's definitely worth it.
