Mom Welcomes ‘Miracle’ Sons After Overcoming Difficulties & Discovers They Are Identical Triplets

Becki-Jo Allen from England was already a proud mother of a darling young girl named Indiana before welcoming more kids into the bunch. She was in her early 20s at the time. When she began to feel some sickness and discomfort coming on, Allen decided to find out if she was expecting again. Sure enough, her test was positive. She was elated to find out the news that she would be having another child. She was surprised when she found out some unexpected details after visiting her doctor.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Allen discovered that she was actually going to have triplets! She was the first in her family that she knew of to ever have triplets, so she was a bit uneasy about what to expect. Thankfully, she had a successful delivery.

Three beautiful boys, Rocco, Roman, and Rohan, were born to Allen when she was at 31 weeks gestation. Like many multiples, the boys were small and needed extra medical attention. At just 3 lbs 5 oz, 3 lbs 6 oz, and 3 lbs 10 oz, the triplets were sent to the NICU until they could put on more weight and get healthy enough to go home. This took approximately six weeks.

When the boys finally reached home, their mom realized something amazing about her baby boys. They looked identical! Though many identical twins are born, identical triplets are extremely rare. “Most experts put the odds of identical triplets at one in 200 million births,” TODAY reported.

Although Allen had previously been told by doctors that Rocco, Roman, and Rohan weren’t identical, her motherly instincts told her otherwise.

“We don’t get anywhere fast because people are always stopping us when we’re out and asking if they are identical,” Allen explained. “I was always convinced they weren’t, because that’s what I had been told during my pregnancy.”

Allen wanted to make sure her observation was scientifically accurate. She got a DNA test conducted to find out if she was reaching the right conclusion. Sure enough, the lab test came back positive, confirming that she was the mom of identical triplets!

Since their temperaments are all so distinct from one another, Allen has no trouble telling the boys apart. The only time it got tricky for her to tell the difference was when they were still babies and fast asleep. However, the triplets had different birthmarks that helped with telling them apart. 

Nowadays, those baby triplets have grown to be adorable children. Allen has shared plenty of sweet photos and videos of her boys on Instagram. In December 2021, the mom posted a throwback photo of herself and the triplets and used the hashtag “#tripletmama.”

In July 2022, she posted a video of Rocco, Roman and Rohan growing up over the years in honor of their 7th birthday. Allen captioned the video:

“7 years old … 7 years of loving you 🤍🤍🤍 my 3 Miracle boys , who defied the odds of everything ! Happy birthday to My boys ! Your funny, cheeky , boisterous , crazy , clever keep being you and never change 🧡🧡🧡.”

In July 2023, the boys celebrated another milestone as they turned yet another year older. “Happy 8th birthday to my 3 wild ones 🦁🦁🦁,” Allen wrote in the caption of another Instagram post. The photo showed Rocco, Roman and Rohan all in the same outfit with matching green headphones to accessorize.
