Mom Gets Frustrated Being Behind A Slow-Moving Vehicle - Until She Pulls Closer And Reads The Sign
Aug 07, 2018 by apost team
Hailey is a lot like many of us. She is a devoted wife and mother and tries her hardest to get through the hassles of life. She is a wonderful member of her community and doesn’t have a lot of free time. She is usually seen grocery shopping, taking care of her kids, and trying to find time to write on her blog, “Thoughts, Dots, and Tots.” Wherever she is, she is usually quite busy!
So when this mom and wife saw a truck in front of her trying hard to reach the speed limit and moving all over the road, it took everything in her to not be impatient. She had a lot to do today and wanted to get going!

When Hailey saw the truck stop at a spotlight, she realized that there was a good reason for why it was going so slow.
Hailey decided to share what she saw on the back window of the truck. She didn’t realize that such a quick encounter would help change the way she looked at life.
She posted on her Facebook page that while she was following the car, she realized there was a sign in the back of the window.
It said, “Learning stick-sorry for any delay.”
After learning the information on the driver, Hailey became much more patient. She even said they were doing well for being a beginner. But she wondered just how patient she would have been had the sign not been there?
Hailey is pretty sure that she wouldn’t have been very patient at all.
She realized that we don’t go through life with a sign on us. We don’t illustrate our personal struggles on a t-shirt. No one has a sign taped on them that says, “Diagnosed with cancer,” or “feeling lonely.”
Hailey said that if we could all just read what others were going through, it might make us all a little nicer.
However, she stated that we shouldn’t have to have a sign or even a reason to treat the people around us with care and compassion. We should simply be good to each other no matter what.
She said that we should all give everyone an extra dose of love, kindness, and patience.
This quick hand-written message touched Hailey deeply. She knew that she could have just as easily gotten upset and reacted, but instead, she showed patience and tolerance towards the situation.
Hailey’s message is an important one. We need to slow down and be more understanding of the people around us. We aren’t always moving at the same speed or feeling the same way.
