Mom Breaks Down On Wedding Day After Her Toddler Son Calls Her Beautiful

Wedding days are special as people get the chance to witness two individuals starting a new chapter in their lives by exchanging vows and saying “I do” to each other. 

There are some couples who never got the chance to tie the knot first before having a family, but when the special day comes, and all of their children are gathered together, it is more significant as they see their parents embark on a new journey with them.

One viral video made rounds around the internet in 2023 after a mom named Alexis Marie Helzer, dressed in a white lace gown and all glammed up for the momentous occasion, got a heartwarming compliment from her son.

The woman shared the video on her Instagram and TikTok accounts in May 2023, where it got millions of views and thousands of likes from strangers online.

In the short clip, the bride could be seen taking a family portrait with her husband and their cute children.

Her significant other held the little boy in his arms while the baby girl stood in front of her, seemingly like a princess, and it was only fitting because she was wearing a cute tiara.

The young man, who wore a suit and tie for his parent’s nuptials, suddenly pointed his finger at his mother and told her that she was beautiful.

“Mom, you’re beautiful,” the baby boy said. 

He didn’t stop there as he repeated it several times until the bride became emotional and teared up. 

Helzer then got the kid from her husband and carried him in her arms.

"So thankful this was captured on my wedding day.🥺 sweet baby," the mom wrote in the TikTok's caption.

It appears that the video touched thousands of people, as many online users commented on the video on both platforms.

“I've watched this 100 times and it still makes me cry! such a beautiful moment,” one wrote.

“He watched his father say it many times and it made mommy smile...so he wanted to make sure MOMMY smiled and knew she was so beautiful 😍 love it,” one commented.

One user then pointed out the little boy’s body language during the heartwarming moment as she commented, “The eye contact. He was serious, and wanted to make sure you heard and understood what he said.”

“He loves her so much you can see it in his eyes. Thank you all for letting them share this beautiful moment online,” one wrote.

Helzer shared almost the entire journey of her wedding on Instagram as well as sweet family activities years prior to her nuptials.

In one post, she greeted the love of her life for a happy Father’s Day and revealed to the world that she was lucky to have a “partner in parenthood” like him.

“The kids don’t understand the power of the outstanding love they receive from you know, but will all make sense to them one day,” she wrote in the caption.

The family had also been enjoying their time together since the day of the wedding as she continued posting their daily lives and activities like enjoying burgers for dinner, doing DIY projects, taking care of farm animals and so many more heartfelt family moments.
