Jennifer Landon is an American actress most known for her roles in “As the World Turns,” “The Young and the Restless” and more recently in the drama television series “Yellowstone.” Jennifer has already gained a large fan following and earned a collection of awards for her work on television due to her natural talent and capabilities. With the late Michael Landon being her father, it’s not hard to see why Jennifer herself has become so successful.
She landed her first acting job at the age of 5 after being cast in her father’s TV series “Highway to Heaven.” Jennifer worked with her late father again on the pilot episode of “Us.” After graduating from Brentwood School in Los Angeles, Jennifer moved to New York City to attend New York University, appearing in several theater productions during her time there.
“Yellowstone” follows the conflicts along the shared borders of a large cattle ranch between land developers and Native Americans. Some of the show’s biggest stars are Kevin Costner, Kelly Reilly and Wes Bentley, with Jennifer joining the series during its third season in 2020. Airing on the Paramount Network, the show was renewed for a fourth season, which was initially released in November 2021.
As the show has grown in popularity and has continued to be renewed for more seasons, more people have been able to watch Jennifer share her talents with the world. While Teeter has a tomboy attitude and look, Jennifer in real life is incredibly gorgeous and could take anyone’s breath away.

Many “Yellowstone” fans have grown used to seeing Teeter as a hardcore woman who regularly wears a baseball cap. However, Jennifer is remarkably gorgeous in person, with her blonde hair cut in a messy yet chic bob. On top of being stunningly beautiful, the actress is also extremely likable and talented. Her looks even went so far as to help land Jennifer her current gig as Teeter in the drama series “Yellowstone.”
“There was a line that, if they were gonna get a girl, she needed to be ugly or mean, and then they saw me somehow, and they said, ‘Perfect,’” Jennifer joked, explaining how she landed her current job. Not only does she look very different on television than she does in real life, but Jennifer also speaks differently. On “Yellowstone,” Jennifer has a thick, southern accent that is almost indecipherable — remarkably different from her natural speaking tone and inflection.
Even though she has only been on the series for one season, Jennifer has already become a staple character and has really added something fresh and fun to the Paramount show. Despite her natural acting talents, Jennifer wasn’t so sure she would land the role following her disastrous audition.
Speaking with her castmates, Jennifer explained that she was so nervous during her audition that she asked the casting associate to do the scene over and over again to get it right, which she claimed is a “big audition no-no.” After leaving the rough audition, Jennifer accidentally told the casting associate, “I love you.” Luckily, the casting associate was a fan of Jennifer’s natural talent and ultimately cast her as Teeter.

Being a TV legend did not stop Michael from being a great dad. His daughter recalled, “He was always so present as a father. He’d watch me jump around the pool for an hour straight. I think he genuinely enjoyed it. I felt admired by him — which is an amazing feeling to have as a child.”
Jennifer added, “He was just the best! That doesn’t mean we had free rein. There was a tremendous amount of respect and discipline that was implemented in our house — but my dad always made things so fun, too. He had this ability to make you feel like something magical could happen or that you were on the edge of a discovery.”
Michael had a difficult childhood, but he didn’t let that affect the way he raised his kids. “My dad didn’t believe in allowing past hardships to affect your present circumstances in a detrimental way,” Jennifer said. “None of the things he experienced was ever apparent in the way he parented. He was all about turning things around, that’s why he liked underdogs and identified with them.”
The actress was only seven when her father passed from pancreatic cancer in 1991. She shared that learning of her father’s death was one of the hardest things she has ever been through. "I was not ready. I wasn’t ready to hear it at all, not at all…. I think there’s a part of me that has not gotten older, right since then,” Jennifer explained at the age of 2005 at 21 years old.
The “Yellowstone” star has gone on to follow in her father’s footsteps, and it is clear he would be proud of her success today.
