Michael Douglas & Catherine Zeta Jones’ Son Dylan Shows Off His Inherited Good Looks On Night Out

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas continue to have one of the longest-lasting marriages in Hollywood, given that they have been together for more than two decades. And although they have a significant age gap of 25 years, Zeta-Jones and Michael have shown that age is nothing but a number between two adults who choose to love and cherish each other for life.

Beyond sharing their lives together since tying the knot in 2000, the couple also shares a birthday on Sept. 25. While Michael turned 78 in 2022, Zeta-Jones turned 53. The two are supportive of each other despite being at different times in their lives. Just like every couple, Zeta-Jones and Michael have had a number of hardships and times when their relationship was not exactly rosy. In the recent past, the couple has dealt with grief, health scares and personal turmoils, but the two have stayed together as a strong unit. 

Moreover, despite the difficulties that come with constantly being in the spotlight, the couple seems to have made every effort to keep their relationship and family strong. This includes their decision to move away from the United States to give their children a chance to grow up in a more normal environment. Their lives changed a great deal when they moved to Bermuda, along with their children, Dylan Michael Douglas and Carys Zeta Douglas. 

The pair welcomed their first child, Dylan, in August 2000. Dylan was Zeta-Jones’ first child and Michael’s second. His first son was Cameron Douglas, who was born in 1978 to his then-wife Diandra Luker.

In 2003, Zeta-Jones and Michael were blessed with their second child – daughter Carys. Their marriage, like any other, has also been through a lot of obstacles, but in the end, their love beat all the odds. 

Michael and Zeta-Jones met in 1996 at the Deauville Film Festival. According to E! Online, Zeta-Jones knew that Michael wanted to meet her, but she was initially wary of his advances. However, the film stars soon fell for one another and began dating. By New Year’s Eve of 1999, they were engaged and married in New York in 2000. Nowadays, both Michael and Zeta-Jones frequently share updates and special messages to one another on social media, as well as mark the milestones of their children.

On Valentine’s Day in 2023, Michael posted an adorable selfie of him and Zeta-Jones in a car with the caption, “Happy Valentine’s Day to my darling Catherine! I love you so much.”

On Nov. 19, 2022, Zeta-Jones marked their 22nd wedding anniversary with a loving photo of her kissing her husband.

The pair also routinely post about their children. On Aug. 8, 2022, Zeta-Jones shared a special birthday post for Dylan that included a carousel of rare pictures from when he was a child. The photos included one of him as a newborn and a few of him snuggling with his mom. Zeta-Jones captioned the post:

“Happy 22nd Birthday Dylan. Zero to 22! You are everything to me and everything is you. The joy you have brought to this world thus far, is immeasurable. I love you more than words can say.”

Just a few months before his birthday that year, Dylan had graduated from college, and his doting mother couldn’t help but be immensely happy for him. On May 29, 2022, she shared a photo of her hugging Dylan, who looked so handsome in his graduation robes. The caption read, “Graduation congratulations to my boy, my pride, my joy, Dylan. I am inexplicably proud of you and I love you beyond words.”

Besides showing off their children in photos, the pair also love to show them off in person! Dylan joined his parents during the premiere of Michael’s film “Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania,” the third installment in the superhero series. Dylan wore a navy blue blazer that matched his father, while Zeta-Jones looked strikingly elegant in a sleeveless gold and black printed gown with a full skirt. The trio looked like a beautiful and happy family as they made their way down the carpet, as seen in a clip Michael posted on his Instagram. They posed for photos and stopped so Michael could sign some autographs for his fans as well.

On Apr. 24, 2023, Dylan joined his father on yet another night out, this time to watch a play titled “Good Night, Oscar” starring Sean Hayes of “Will & Grace” fame. The play, written by Doug Wright, revolves around Oscar Levant, played by Hayes, during an appearance on “The Tonight Show” with Jack Paar.

For the play’s opening night on Broadway at The Belasco Theatre in New York City, Michael and Dylan attended in style. Michael opted for a dark suit while Dylan wore a gray blazer jacket with sneakers. It’s clear the two share a close father-and-son relationship that will surely grow stronger and deeper as time goes by.

However, it’s not just his dad that Dylan accompanies to events. On Nov. 16, 2022, he escorted his mother to the premiere of her Netflix series “Wednesday,” in which she plays the Addams family matriarch, Morticia Addams. Dylan looked ever so dapper in a dark maroon suit and a gold chain statement necklace, while his mom looked nothing less than stunning in a white floor-length gown.
