Meghan Markle’s Fur Baby Steals The Show In Home Garden Photoshoot For Lifestyle Brand

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, 43, chose her California backyard for a stunning photo shoot for her lifestyle brand, As Ever. The product lineup was revealed on Mar. 4, 2025, coinciding with the premiere of “With Love, Meghan” on Netflix. However, the real scene-stealer was her rescue beagle, Mia, who eagerly joined in on the action in the Instagram sneak peek. 

In detail, Meghan’s line offers an array of artisanal treats, including herbal teas, crepe mix, flower sprinkles (as seen in the series), shortbread butter cookies, wildflower honey with honeycomb, and Meghan’s signature raspberry jam.

While the photo shoot took place at Meghan and Prince Harry’s Montecito home, she chose a different location for filming her Netflix series. The Duchess decided to shoot her series in a nearby rental that closely mirrors their own living space. Meghan explained this decision to PEOPLE: “I wanted to protect that safe haven.” 

The Duchess of Sussex elaborated: “We’re a close-knit family, and I love those moments – putting Lili down for a nap, having lunch together, having sacred time together at the end of the day.” She added: “Our kitchen is where Mama just cooks for the family, and with a crew of 80-plus people, that’s a lot of people to have in your house!”

Since stepping away from their senior royal roles in 2020, Meghan and Prince Harry, 40, have made California their home, settling in Montecito, a picturesque community in Santa Barbara County. The Duchess expressed how much their family has embraced local life, forming connections through playdates with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. 

Reflecting on these experiences, she said: “We had several days with different families at our home, and we were able to get to know the parents better, and all the kids could play.”

Calling it “a dream,” Meghan acknowledged the importance of giving back.

“But I also know that being part of a community means you put effort into it.”

Over time, Meghan has noticed how deeply Montecito has embraced and protected her family. Reflecting on this, she shared:

“Once you know us, I think you want us to have the same normalcy as parents and for our children as they do, despite however unique our situation is.”

The Duchess of Sussex shared a behind-the-scenes moment of the exciting milestone for As Ever. Posted on Mar. 31, 2025, the photo showed Meghan seated in a chair while her rescue beagle, Mia, stood on two legs to get closer. In front of her, a beautifully arranged spread showcased some of the new items from her brand. She captioned the post:

“This is our week @aseverofficial 💫 BTS from the shoot at my house (Hi Mia!).”

Since launching on Feb. 18, 2025, the As Ever Instagram page has been sharing fresh glimpses from what appears to be the same shoot. Mia even made it into the brand’s first post, featuring Meghan drizzling honey over a croissant. Additional snapshots highlighted Meghan slicing into a jam-filled crepe, emphasizing the crepe mix and raspberry spread in the debut lineup. 

But Mia wasn’t the only family member to make an appearance – Meghan and Prince Harry’s children also joined in. On Mar. 24, 2025, a heartwarming post featured Prince Archie, 5, hugging his mother’s leg while she held Princess Lilibet, 3, who matched her mom in a sun hat.

Meghan has been more open about sharing rare images of the two little ones while keeping their faces hidden. Since her Instagram comeback in Jan. 2025, fans have been looking forward to seeing more adorable snippets of Archie and Lilibet and getting glimpses of the Duchess of Sussex in her natural environment.
