Meghan Markle has stepped into the spotlight makeup-free and bare-faced for a heartfelt, candid conversation on “The Jamie Kern Lima Show.” At 43, Meghan is balancing her roles as a mother, philanthropist, and media producer while continuing to champion causes close to her heart.

The episode, released on Apr. 28, 2025, features Meghan and Lima dressed comfortably in matching black sweats and sneakers. The two women kept things intimate and relaxed, reflecting their real-life friendship. Meghan added a sweet personal touch to her outfit by wearing a top embroidered with the names of her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet

Lima introduced the podcast by sharing that her favorite place at home is her pair of rocking chairs, which have hosted many private, meaningful conversations between her and Meghan.

“Usually when we’re together, we’re in our cozy sweats and no makeup,” she explained, adding, “So that’s how we are today, too, sitting right here in our cozies with no makeup. And I’m inviting you into the rocking chairs with us.”

Known for championing authenticity and self-worth, Meghan opened up in a raw and honest conversation, sharing a vulnerable side of herself, all while going makeup-free – a choice that reinforced the episode’s deeper themes of self-acceptance and truth. This genuine setting was captured in a preview clip shared on Instagram, where Meghan could be seen brushing away tears in a moment of reflection and authenticity.

“I wasn’t expecting that one!” Meghan said with a laugh, wiping away a tear. She continued:

“They’re just great, it’s so great – this is why it’s nice not to have makeup on.”

In the heartfelt discussion, Meghan spoke about the constant pressure to meet expectations, saying:

“We spend so much of our life trying to prove something. To prove that you’re enough. You have to prove that you’re pretty enough. You have to prove that you’re smart enough.”

She continued with conviction:

“You prove that you’re a good wife or a good friend... and I was like, ‘I am just so done with the prove-it game.’ And if you can’t see it, I don’t need to prove to you why – that’s your loss. Because I know that I’m a great friend, and I know the kind of mom I am, and I know the kind of human being I am. I know how I show up, and I love being able to be that person with the people that I love. So worthiness — maybe part of worthiness comes when you stop having to feel like you’re in the prove-it game.”

Getting visibly moved, Lima responded:

“Hallelujah. I am getting emotional right now. Getting out of the prove-it game, like, feels like joy, tastes like freedom.”

While Meghan has previously hosted podcasts, this episode marked her first appearance as a guest. Lima teased that the conversation would reveal more personal details – from Meghan’s daily habits and potential future books to whether she plans to enter the political arena.
