Megan Fox And Her Ex-Husband Defend Son's Decision To Wear Dresses

"Transformers" actor Megan Fox opened up about her son's decision to wear dresses. The star talked about her then-6-year-old's love of fashion and how she is embracing the way he chooses to express himself. 

The star appeared on "The Talk" to talk about her then-6-year-old son, Noah. "He designs, he draws outfits. He's very talented, but he's still six. He's really into fashion. Sometimes, he'll dress himself and he likes to wear dresses sometimes," she said.

The star has posted photos of her son wearing a dress on her Instagram and received negative reactions from commentators about her decision to let her son express himself. Fox continued about her decision to let her son do so by saying:

"I'm trying to teach him to be confident no matter what anyone else says."

The 38-year-old also talked about the flak Noah has received at school for his outfit choices. "I send him to a really liberal, like, hippy school. But even there, in California, he still has little boys going, 'Boys don't wear dresses,' or 'Boys don't wear pink.'"

Fox's comments came after her ex-husband Brian Austin Green defended Noah in an interview with Hollywood Pipeline's Dax Holt. Green said:

"It's his life, they're not my clothes. I feel like at 4 or at 5, that's a time when he should be having fun. He's not harming anyone by wearing a dress. So if he wants to wear a dress, awesome."

Fox says Noah has been resilient to the reactions other students give him at school. "He came home and I was like, 'How was it? Did any of the friends at school have anything to say?' And he was like, 'Well, all the boys laughed when I came in,' but he's like, 'I don't care, I love dresses too much," she said.
