Christmas is reindeer season, and a herd of reindeer in Finland understands best what it means for them to own the season. When December kicks in, it brings snow along, but that is not the only thing that comes, reindeer come along with it.

In Finland, a herd of reindeer thought it wise to take control of the season and block traffic, and the video was magnificent to the viewers. It might not have been pleasant for those hurrying home to their families, but the reindeer and those who have seen the video had fun.

Instead of crossing the road to the other side of the forest, the herd walked along the highway for a while, completely blocking the traffic. In the herd was tens of reindeer.

Even if they were just crossing the road, it would have taken them several minutes to all cross to the other side. No one knows where the herd was coming from, or where they were headed, but they were not in a hurry to leave the highway.

They might have had an appointment with Santa. Maybe they were on the way to help Santa wrap some gifts so that we all get a season gift.

Wherever they were headed, they seemed to be enjoying the Christmas season by walking majestically along the busy highway. Reindeer hold a significant place in Christmas stories. According to legend, the deer help Santa distribute gift under every Christmas tree.

Legend has it that Santa, his wife, and elves, live in the North Pole. Every day of the year, the elves help Santa make toys.

On the eve of Christmas, Santa sets out on his sleigh with the help of reindeer and he distributes the gifts. On Christmas day, people wake up to gifts under their Christmas trees from Santa.

In Finland where a herd of reindeer blocked traffic, it is challenging to drive a few miles without driving past reindeer or a herd of them. Reindeer are not the only animals you may come across in Finland, especially Lapland.

Moose are also so common. It is easier to run over a moose as it just crosses the road running, so you may not see it when you drive by.

Most accidents involving reindeer and elk occur because animals do not have time to react; they just cross the road running. The animals are huge with an adult reindeer growing to about 276 pounds.

A crash with a reindeer will destroy the bumper of your vehicle and the lights and a few other parts, but it may not harm those inside the car. An elk is different as it grows to about 1322 pounds.

Elks have long legs and grow up to two meters tall. An accident involving an elk can result in the death of the car occupants, thanks to its weight and long legs. Most cars are low, and if driving at high speed, the car can break the legs of the moose and the body will move into the cabin of the car, affecting those that are inside.

Their majestic move looks great for a tourist. Tell us what you think about this herd of reindeer and be sure to pass this along!
