Martha Stewart Gifts Neighbor Richard Gere A Chocolate Caramel Mile High Cake

Martha Stewart is the Queen of home cooking—from indulging chicken parmesans to decadent multi-tier cakes, the TV personality seemingly has a recipe for everything, and they are often just way too mouth-watering to resist.

Not that we had any doubt of it, but the 79-year-old proved as much once again on a recent appearance on the TODAY show, where she showed viewers how to make her Mile High Salted-Caramel Chocolate Cake. One lucky neighbor of hers got a bit more than the audience at home, however, as legendary actor Richard Gere got a visit from the queen herself, and was lucky enough to get the whole cake to himself (and his family, if he was in a sharing mood).

Stewart appeared on the TODAY show earlier this month, where the lifestyle guru blessed fans with three cake recipes from her new book, "Martha Stewart's Cake Perfection: 100+ Recipes for the Sweet Classic, from Simple to Stunning: A Baking Book."

During the segment, she shared recipes for a lemon mousse cake, a chocolate-and-vanilla zebra cake, and lastly, her Mile High Salted-Caramel Chocolate Cake–the latter for which Richard Gere was drooling over.

In a video, Stewart revealed Gere gave her a call after watching the segment, saying he wanted to try that cake.

Showing the neighborly friendliness we’d all expect from Stewert, the 79-year-old went over Gere’s house and gave him the cake right after they were done filming.

Martha Stewart might be 79 years old, but there is obviously no slowing her down.

She celebrated the milestone birthday in August this year, when she got to enjoy a delicious ice cream cake – not made by herself, of course.

If you had a chance to choose one of those three cakes for Martha Stewart to deliver to your door, which one would you go with? Let us know in the comments, and make sure you pass this along to your friends and family!
