Being a part of a large family is nothing new for Marie Osmond. She grew up with all brothers, the eighth of nine children. And showbiz has remained a constant, as the clan sang and danced together publicly at young ages. Although Marie was never in the family's singing group officially, she and her brother, Donny Osmond, would eventually co-host the variety show "Donny & Marie" from 1976 to 1979.

Marie is a solo music artist and is best known for her country-pop hit "Paper Roses." She was originally encouraged to record her own album by her mother, and both the album and lead single went gold. "Paper Roses" also reached number one on the country music charts and number 5 on Billboard's pop music list. The song "In My Little Corner of the World" made it into the top 40 on the country charts.

In 2007, Marie showed off her dancing skills as a celebrity contestant on "Dancing with the Stars," where she placed third alongside her dance partner, Jonathan Roberts.

Marie, as the matriarch of her own large band of children and grandchildren, has lovingly and seamlessly fulfilled her motherly role. The singer-actress-philanthropist has a total of eight children and eight grandchildren. Her children are Stephen, Jessica, Rachael, Brandon, Brianna, Matthew, Abigail and the late Michael Blosil. Her grandchildren are Stephen Jr., Rocket Jade, Christian, Maxwell, Maude, Wolf, Mabel and Olive.

Despite being married for 20 years, Marie and her second husband, Bill Blosil, were not happy together. Marie shared: "I just went, 'I can't do this anymore,' and my children came to me and said, 'Mom, please leave. We gotta get out of here.'"

A definitive sign that it was time to separate came after the couple's house caught fire in 2005. "It was probably one of the most freeing things that ever happened to me," Marie explained. "Because I realized this home I had created was a facade to a marriage that wasn't happy for 20 years. I really believe it was God — they say, 'The burning within.' So sometimes these things happen to wake us up."

Marie claimed that part of the reason she had issues with Blosil was that she was still grieving over her relationship with Stephen Craig. "You have to be so careful not to jump into a relationship after you've been through a sad one," she said. "You really need time on your own. And you need to know that you're a good person in order to find a good person."

Another life-changing event in Marie's life was her reconnection with Craig. After her marriage to Blosil was over, the singer had a different outlook on her past relationship with her first husband. "The thing about a second marriage is that you realize things you thought were so important, aren't," Marie stated. "I love being with my husband. He is the sweetest man I know. He lives to serve and really listens to people's needs."

Craig and Marie were remarried in 2011 after originally divorcing in 1985. Life, after her first marriage ended, wasn’t easy. “All of a sudden I’m a single mom and I don’t know how I’m going to pay my rent, let alone feed my kid,” Marie said. “So I decided I had to get back to work.”

Initially, after everything she went through with Blosil, Marie wasn’t sure she wanted to try marriage a third time. “I never wanted to be married again,” Marie shared. “I was like, ‘I’m fine, I’m good!’”

Through the help of their son Stephen, Marie and Craig rekindled their romance. "It was our son who got us to kind of be back together, but (my husband) has been there for me and he's just my best friend, you know, and loves my kids," the singer explained

Since their son was also headed down the aisle, Marie and Craig decided to tie the knot for a second time so they could attend Stephen’s wedding as a married couple. “Stephen was getting married and we (realized) we can’t go to our son’s wedding and not be married,” Marie said. “So we got married a few months before he did. He joked that he never thought it would happen, but it did!”

Because of the rushed ceremony, Marie wore the wedding dress she wore to her first wedding with Craig. Marie shared, "I was cleaning out my garage and all of a sudden this box showed up in this pile of stuff … and it was this dress and it was five days ago. I'm not kidding. Isn't that crazy?"

Despite getting married to her husband again nearly 30 years after the first time she walked down the aisle, Marie’s dress still fit her! However, that doesn’t mean it was the comfiest of dresses to wear. Marie told Entertainment Tonight:

"I can't breathe, but I'm in it.”

The singer added, ”I had a dress all designed (for this wedding) and when it showed up it was not (right). I was so sad, I was actually kind of in tears.” So when she found the box in her garage, it was almost as if it was completely meant to be.

And it’s evident that Marie feels that her love life with Craig was pure destiny. "Some things I guess were just always meant to be, and time makes you grow up and appreciate things,” Marie said. “Life is good, you know?"

Marie explained that she chose May 4 as her and Craig’s wedding day as it marked the birthdays of her late son Michael and her late mother. "It was important that both Michael and my mom were with us on this special day," she said.

Marie has continued to share heartwarming and important moments with her fans over the years. In May 2023, she celebrated her and Craig’s anniversary and called him “the love of my life.” In June 2023, Marie posted a photo of her and her husband from their first wedding alongside another photo of the couple from their second wedding 29 years later.

The post’s caption was filled with heart emojis as Marie gushed over her enjoyment of reliving her romance with Craig. She wrote, “It's seriously so wonderful to be with my best friend!💖😘🥰”

Later that month, she posted another series of photos with the caption, “I'm so grateful that we found each other again!!!”
