Manager Fires Mom For Missing Work Because Her Son Was On Life Support: "No Reason You Can't Work"

Crystal Reynolds Fisher of Albion, Michigan, was fired from her gas station job after she alerted her manager she was unable to work one day because she needed to attend to her ill son.
Reynold's son was in the hospital due to Sepsis, which is a blood infection. He was put on life support because of the severity of his illness.
According to WXYZ, She wrote a note to her manager explaining that she could not come in.
“I'm just letting you know my son remains on life support," she wrote. "So until he is out of the bad I will not be able to come to work. I can let you know as he starts to get better so that way I can return to work without no problems.”

Her manager, however, did not seem happy with the text she received and replied something that would send shockwaves across the nation.
"That isn't how we do things, so I'll accept that you're quitting." Her manager wrote back.
The manager's reply sparked a back-and-forth between the two, which Reynold's later posted to social media, the post has since gone viral.
Her superior's at PS Foodmart corporate also saw the post, and immediately reacted by firing the manager in question and allowing Reynold's to keep her job.
