Man Builds A Mini Village For The Family Of Tiny Residents He Discovers In His Yard

Fear of mice is pretty common, except for this man! Simon Dell noticed that a family of mice was living in his garden. Instead of shooing them away, or calling pest control, he decided to take a more creative approach.
He built them a home. Simon Dell lives in Sheffield, U.K. He's a wildlife photographer, so he thought this was a great opportunity. Simon made several attempts to photograph them in a natural setting. No such luck: they kept scurrying away.

Now his mice friends have a village of their very own. They can run around and explore all the little houses that Simon made. Simon even named some of the mice! They are George and Mildred and their baby Mini.
The trick was to provide little goodies as an incentive. Simon wanted to lure the mice into playing. He gives them fruit and vegetables. Simon even decorates the village for Christmas! He puts out mini ornaments. There is an extra bonus for the mice, too.
Simon's village gives them protection from the cats who live next door. It is sturdy and safe. Simon feels that the mice know he can protect them.
The village is unbelievably cute, isn't it? We wish that we lived somewhere equally cozy. Pass this on to your friends and family!
