A 13-year-old boy is showing great empathy after creating a special closet filled with clothes and other items for students who are in need at his middle school.
Chase Neyland-Square is an eighth-grade student at Port Allen Middle School in Port Allen, Louisiana. The special closet that he has launched to help his fellow students is called PAMs Pantry. In addition to clothes, the closet also provides hygiene products and other essentials that students may not be able to afford.

Staff members have helped Chase to assemble and fill the pantry. Students who are in need can visit the closet and pick up items such as jackets, shoes, school supplies, and even football cleats and other sporting equipment.

Principal Jessica Marjoe told Good Morning America that because the school only has 215 students, the staff is able to get to know them all well on a personal level.

Chase said that he feels really good about being able to help out his fellow students while truly making a difference at his school. His mother said that her son has a great passion for people and this is just one example of him wanting to bless others. In addition to creating this special closet, Chase has also worked on projects to provide 700 pairs of socks to the homeless population as well as helping to host dinners for senior citizens.
It is clear that Chase has a big heart and will continue to do great things with his life. You can check out Chase's special gift by watching the video below of what he has already done for his school.
Be sure to spread the story of Chase's unselfishness to everyone that you know. Kids like Chase should be celebrated for all that they do for their communities.
