Loretta Lynn knew she found love at a very young age. In fact, she was only 15. As Biography shares, in 1948, on a winter's day in January, Loretta Lynn married Oliver "Doo" Lynn. She had known him for only a month when they married on the 10th. But it was love at first sight, and it was a match that would last a lifetime. They would go on to build a beautiful life and family together with two sons and four beautiful daughters.
Lynn found not only a lover in Doo. She also found her number one fan and supporter. Doo was there for her when no one else was. He was the person who was there from the very beginning of her career, cheering her on before she became established and later a legend. With Doo behind her every step of the way, Loretta started playing music and singing in small, local spots until she finally made it big in the country music scene.

At first, the Lynns were the farthest thing from well-to-do. So, Doo and Loretta Lynn took a serious leap of faith when they came to Nashville. Without enough money for accommodations, the love-struck couple made do, as they always did. Doo had faith that once she performed at the Grand Ole Opry, his love's career would take off.
They slept in their car, and he splurged on a breakfast of two donuts the morning of her big performance. In his heart, he knew his wife was going to be a star not just in his eyes. Their relationship was far from perfect and took work. All good relationships do. Nevertheless, they stayed true to one another and to their marriage until Doo departed this world in 1996.
Loretta Lynn wrote of her marriage to Doo later in her autobiography. She explained that even though she was young when she married him, they grew up together and deeper in love with one another as each passing day came to a close.
Because she was a singer, Loretta Lynn used her gift of song to express her love and gratitude for her husband. One song, in particular, Love is the Foundation was for Doo, according to Country Rebel. The song not only topped the charts but also acted as a testimony of their strong marriage.
She also poured her heart out for Doo in the song, I’m All He’s Got (But He’s Got All Of Me). In the song, she brings their marriage to life and lets the world know how wonderful her husband is.
Loretta Lynn and her husband, Doo, had a love that everyone wants. They went through thick and thin together, starting off from a very young age and eventually growing old with one another. They supported each other through everything and were better off because of their strong relationship.
Be sure to show your friends this wonderful love story and song and spread a little more love in the world today, just as Loretta Lynn and Doo Lynn would have wanted.
