Looking At Cece Winans' Relationship With Alvin Love II, Her Pastor Husband Of 36 Years

Cece Winans is a very successful gospel singer, with 12 Grammy Awards under her belt. Not only is she successful in her career, but her personal life is another success story of hers. She's been married for 36 years to her husband Alvin Love II, who is a pastor. Here, we take a look at their decades-long love story.

As of 2015, Cece Winans has been the best selling gospel artist of all time, which is no small feat. She's won 12 Grammy awards over the years for her singing, which is an incredible thing to be proud of.

But standing behind her and her successful career is her pastor husband Alvin Love II, with whom she has been married for close to four decades. Throughout their relationship, the couple has shared some sweet moments with the public via Instagram and in interviews.

One example is a photo of a gorgeous bouquet of flowers, sent to Cece by Alvin on the occasion of their 36th wedding anniversary. Cece posted the photo to Instagram with the caption:

"Thanks Bay for my beautiful flowers and thank you Jesus for blessing us with a peaceful home for 36 years! I'm extremely grateful! ♥️💕"

Another instance is when Cece posted a number of photos, including one of herself and her husband, in Downtown Nashville just before she took to the stage to perform the National Anthem at the NFL Draft in 2019. She looked beaming in the images and was surely very proud to be singing at the event.

Sharing two children together, Cece and Alvin have a son named Alvin Love III, and a daughter named Ashley, who in 2017 got married to Kenny Phillips. This was revealed in a post from June 2017, as Alvin posted a photo to his account of himself, Cece, Ashley, and Alvin Jr. on Father's Day. He captioned it:

"The Father's Day, My Birthday, Ashley's engaged, Mom's killin the game Dinner. #consolidation"

Winans and Love are both pastors at the church they founded in 2011, called Nashville Life Church. Said to be more prosperous and happy because of it, Winans and Love are also well known as matchmakers among their members, apparently nudging the single members to begin dating one another. How sweet is that!

When asked about their successful marriage in a 1998 interview, Winans explained that the secret was "definitely having the Lord in our lives, having Him as the center of our marriage." Alvin added: "We communicate well. We talk a lot." It's lovely to see them both so happy after all these years and passing it forward by playing matchmaker to other couples.
