Little Boy And Dog Both Start Crying When They're Finally Reunited After A Year Apart

Animals are a blessing to the lives of humans, and anyone who owns a pet or spends time around these creatures knows this statement is fact. Having a pet in the home can dramatically improve the happiness and quality of life for all of the members of a family, but children seem to especially enjoy their time with their four-legged friends.

If animals and children have one thing in common, it’s that they are both innocent. These two are able to bond in such a way that may not even be understood by adults. One little boy knows just how much animals can mean to young children.

The boy’s name is Lennox Goebel, and he lives in Nashville, Tennessee with his family. Although his family had a dog of their own, Lennox spent most of his time bonding with the neighbor’s dog.

The dog’s name was Bogart, and this dog was so special to Lennox that they considered themselves inseparable. Each time that Bogart was outside, Lennox couldn’t help but play with the adorable pooch and give him plenty of hugs and snuggles.

But a problem arose when Bogart’s owner, a musician, had to move away for an extended period of time to go on tour. This meant that Lennox was losing his favorite playdate, as he was being sent away to be watched by the neighbor’s mother while the tour was ongoing.

Of course, Lennox was noticeably upset and emotional at the news. On the day of the big move, Lennox’s mother Ellen decided that the two should have one last playdate before departing for the year.

Lennox felt powerless and hopeless at the prospect of losing his best friend. But once the year had come and gone, it was time for Bogart and his owner to return home. Ellen found out the news before her son and decided to plan a surprise.

She knew how emotionally draining it was for her son to say goodbye to his playmate, so when Lennox first laid his eyes on his friend Bogart again, it was a moment filled with nothing but happiness and joy! Not only did Lennox start sobbing from happiness, but his four-legged friend also began yelping and rolling around the grass from excitement.

The 11-year-old boy and the dog had an amazing reunion as the two best friends were together once again. This dog has made such a difference in Lennox’s life that he will probably hold the dog close to his heart for the rest of his life. You can watch the emotional reunion in the video below.
