Shark Tank on ABC is on its 10th season. Marketed as "A Decade of Dreams", this 10th season will be just as surprising and emotional as its past episodes. One of these particularly emotional moments occurred during Episode 3.

Airing on October 21, this episode saved its best entrepreneurs until the end. These contestants were Christian, Keira, and Kaley Young, two of whom are 20 and 15. Kaley, though 24, is still one of the youngest entrepreneurs ever to be on Shark Tank.

The Story of Keith Young and the Cub Board Pro

The trio of siblings made it to the show to ask the sharks to loan $100,000. The siblings offered 10% equity in their idea known as the Cub Board Pro. The idea was thought up by Keith Young, their dad, who died only three months prior to their filming the episode.

Keith Young was a firefighter from New York City that died of synovial sarcoma. At 53 years old, Keith had his life taken due to a form of cancer that he contracted from having been involved in 9/11.

Kaley shared with the sharks that her dad's funeral was a tribute to the man he was. Over 1,000 people attended and the New York City firefighters closed the entire street down just to honor their dad as a hero, she went on to say.

While the story was heartwarming and emotional, the sharks fell silent. All sharks were filled with emotion and a few even got teary-eyed. Daymond John wiped tears away, but couldn't stop crying as the Youngs' story went on. Lori Greiner got glass-eyed and was apparently choked up as well.

John later shared with Facebook that Young's pitch was the most emotional one that they'd ever heard. John almost walked off of the set because he had lost so many colleagues and friends in 9/11.

The Young's Legacy and the Sharks' Decision

The Youngs showed the sharks a video that their dad made before he got sick. In this video, Keith shared how important it was for him and his family to get their tasks done efficiently.

Keith Young, a dad, and a hero, also won Chopped twice. However, he had put his goals on hold in order to care for his wife after they discovered she had breast cancer.

After the story, the Youngs opened up about the invention. The Cup Board Pro would honor their father's legacy by helping make things more efficient in the kitchen. After deliberation, the sharks offered $100,000, agreeing to 20% equity. Whatever profits the sharks do earn will go to charities to support the firefighters who fought in 9/11.
