Lara Flynn Boyle is an American actress born on March 24, 1970. She first gained widespread recognition for her role as Donna Hayward in David Lynch’s cult 1990s television series “Twin Peaks.” Her performance in the series was well-received, and it helped establish her as a prominent young actress in Hollywood. She reprised her role in the 1992 film “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me.”

Boyle continued to build her film career with roles in movies such as “The Rookie,” “Wayne’s World,” and “Afterglow.” She also achieved significant success on television with her role as Assistant District Attorney Helen Gamble in the hit legal drama “The Practice.” Her work on the show earned her an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

After leaving “The Practice,” Boyle’s career saw a decline in high-profile roles. She appeared in various films and TV projects, including “Men in Black II,” and appeared on shows like “Las Vegas” and “Law & Order.”

Boyle’s personal life has attracted considerable media attention. She has been linked romantically to several high-profile actors, such as her “Twin Peaks” costar Kyle MacLachlan and Richard Dean Anderson. Boyle also attracted media controversy after being romantically linked to actors Harrison Ford and Jack Nicholson.

After the 2000s, Boyle’s career took a dip, but she continued to court attention, largely due to her ever-changing looks. She also returned to the big screen in 2021, reigniting fans’ discourse about her beauty transformation. Read on to learn more about Boyle’s rocky romantic past and see what she looks like now.

Aside from her acting chops, Lara Flynn Boyle also rose to fame due to her stunning looks and slender figure. The alluring brunette once remarked that her vixen-like reputation did not always work in her favor.

“I’m the kind of woman who, when she walks into a party, all the other women leave the room… I think I’m scary to people,” she said in 2001 while also admitting she was indeed “a bad girl.”

Her striking beauty also led to high media attention on her romantic life. In the 1990s, Boyle was dating David Spade. Spade revealed Jack Nicholson made a pass at his girlfriend right in front of him.

“Nicholson asked Lara Flynn Boyle out in front of me, while we were all smoking a doob somewhere,” Spade recounted in 2015. At the time, Boyle, who is 33 years younger than Nicholson, hit out at Spade for not standing up for her. Spade only discovered the two were later seeing each other secretly when Boyle and Nicholson were involved in a car crash. Spade claimed she “crawled out of the sunroof and yelled, ‘I have a boyfriend! I can’t be here!’ She and I didn’t talk too much after that.”

By the 2000s, Boyle was firmly involved with Nicholson and was frequently seen on his arms at events. However, their on-and-off relationship was said to be rather turbulent. After their romance, Boyle reportedly began dating Harrison Ford in 2000 after he had just ended his 17-year marriage to Melissa Mathison after being photographed at industry events together. Boyle, however, refuted allegations of being his “homewrecker.”

“That was so blown out of proportion. I sat down in a booth with Harrison Ford at a party and talked to him for five minutes… well, maybe six,” she stated.

After her high-profile relationship with Nicholson, Boyle surprised fans by marrying businessman Donald Ray Thomas in 2006. According to a TMZ report, the actress got hitched at a county clerk’s office after paying $36 for the marriage license.

According to Fox News, a source told a media outlet that the pair “seemed so thrilled to be married.”

“They kept talking about how they were over the moon and were in bliss. She was beaming and he was full of energy, kept going on and on about how happy he was. She said she was going back to Los Angeles but that she was going to eventually move to San Antonio to be with her husband and then commute to L.A. when she needed to for work,” the insider added.

Since then, onscreen roles appeared to have dried up for Boyle, but she continued to garner attention due to her changing looks. In 2015, when Boyle was 45 years old, fans began asking:

“Oh my what happened to her? She was so beautiful!” after photos of her out and about were published.

“Grow old gracefully that’s what I say, don’t like that trout pout/ wind tunnel look,” one user remarked, while another said, “What a waste of an amazing face.”

Although Boyle returned to the big screen again in 2021 in the film “Death in Texas,” it did not garner her as much attention as her looks, such as when, later that same year, at 51, she was spotted at a wine shop in Los Angeles.

One user commented:

“She was once so very beautiful. She could have aged like Dita von Teese, but no. Poor woman.”
