Kind-Hearted Woman Earns Praises Online After Helping A Boy Who Lost His Parents On The Train

A child getting separated from their parents might be one of the most traumatizing experiences one could have, especially if they were in an unfamiliar location or place. Younger children, in particular, might be very difficult to find when they’re lost because of their small stature, and they might be taken advantage of by others too. 

In most cases, when a child gets lost in a crowded place, good-hearted people and strangers offer their best to help them when needed. In the case of a kid in a French Metro, upon immediately realizing he had lost his parents while riding the train, he panicked, cried and screamed as people watched him in confusion. 

As he cried helplessly on the subway, inconsolable, a woman approached him, trying to calm him down. But as soon as he realized he had his phone in his pocket, he immediately dialed one of his parents to inform them about his whereabouts. He sought help from the people around him as the woman tried to calm him down even more. 

As Indian Express suggested, the boy seemingly failed to deboard the train when his parents had already alighted, which was the reason for his frustrated scream at the video. 

A video of the entire encounter was posted on Good News Correspondent on Instagram. The video has since received more than 200,000 likes and thousands of comments. 

“This young boy lost his parents on the metro, but this kind stranger stepped in to calm him down and offer help. Boy was able to make contact with his father and was reunited with him several minutes later,” the caption read. 

People online were delighted to witness the encounter, despite it being a saddening one for the little boy. Many have praised the woman for helping the kid by calming him down on the Good News Correspondent’s comment section of the Instagram post. 

“Poor kid. That is such a scary feeling. So nice that someone helped him,” a user commented. “Thankful for kind people helping that little boy!” another posted. 

Many have also noted that if it weren’t for the boy having a cell phone, he wouldn’t have communicated with his parents in the first place. 

“Imagine a time where cell phones didn’t exist? We often forget how fortunate we are to live in these times where we can contact anyone from anywhere in the world by dialing a number,” someone shared. 

“Happened to me at 7 years old and we didn’t have cell phones.. needless to say I will never forget it! Luckily I was ok and my mom was able to get to me on the next train,” one recalled. 

However, the woman’s kindness and technology’s advancement weren’t the only things noticed in the clip. Two women were sitting facing the screaming child. However, throughout the video, the two women seemed to be unfazed, only looking at the child and not offering any help at all. 

“Sorry, I couldn’t sit there like a zombie while a child is frantically crying. Show some emotion! I am glad someone cared,” one user posted. “Those 2 women sitting there like nothings happened and then one puts her fingers in her ears when the poor kid is crying!! Have some compassion!” another wrote.
