Kevin Hart Sustains Major Injuries After Being Involved In Serious Car Accident

Actor and comedian Kevin Hart has reportedly been hospitalized following a car crash in Calabasas, California, in the early hours of Sunday morning. Hart along with two other occupants was injured during the crash after the driver lost control and went off the road down an embankment. 

According to a California Highway Patrol incident report cited by CNN, Kevin Hart and Jared Black, the car's driver, both suffered ‘major back injuries’ following the car crash next to the actor's home. The pair were transported to nearby hospitals to be treated. The third occupant in the car, Rebecca Broxterman, did not sustain any major injuries.

Black was driving Kevin Hart’s 1970 Plymouth Barracuda when he lost control of the car running off the road and rolling down an embankment. According to the report, Hart was able to become free from the vehicle while the other two passengers remained trapped. The actor went to his residence to call for medical attention.

CNN reports that police officers have concluded Black was not under the influence of alcohol when the crash occurred. Hart’s car was a 40th birthday gift to himself that he posted about on instagram in July. He wrote next to the photo, “I added some more muscle to the family for my 40th....”
