Kevin Bacon is an award-winning actor who has taken the lead in several films like "JFK," "A Few Good Men," and "Apollo 13." He is most renowned for playing Ren McCormack in the musical drama, "Footloose." Bacon didn't always have it easy on his road to being a star. He also didn't want to be on TV for a long time, fearing that it might end his film career.

However, he was convinced to take the leap after seeing three TV scripts he loved. Bacon is also renowned for some of his comedies, including "National Lampoon's Animal House," where he debuted, "Tremors," and "Crazy, Stupid, Love." He also founded The Bacon Brothers band with his brother Michael.

His wife, Kyra Sedgwick, is also an actress well-known for her TV drama series, "The Closer." The series was quite successful, and Sedgwick won an Emmy and a Golden Globe award for it. It also ran on TV for seven seasons until Sedgwick opted out. The 57-year-old started acting when she was 16 when she played Julia Shearer in "Another World." The actress is also a great comedian and is popular for her hilarious role in the comedy "Brooklyn Nine-Nine." Some of her other films include "Something to Talk About," "Born on the Fourth of July," and "Singles."

The pair met again years later on the set of the PBS version of the series "Lemon Sky." Sedgwick had also become an actress at the time. The twosome tied the knot in 1988 and welcomed their first child, a son named Travis, in 1989. The couple had their second child, a daughter, Sosie Ruth, in 1992. Both children work in the entertainment industry.

Bacon and Sedgwick have always been each other's support systems since they married. The couple had homes in New York and Los Angeles, but they lived in New York because they wanted to raise their children there.

However, there was more work in LA, so one partner had to stay with the children. Sedgwick chose to stay with the kids and paused her career. However, when the opportunity for "The Closer" came, Bacon stepped up and encouraged her to go to California.

"When 'The Closer' came along — I don't even look at this as a sacrifice," Bacon said. "But the kids were still in high school or junior high, and she had this opportunity to go out to California and to be a lead in a TV show. I said, 'Listen, I'll stay with the kids.' In this case, this was the first time in our lives I said, 'I'll stay home, I won't take anything,'"

Today, their children are independent, and Bacon and Sedgwick spend their time having fun together. Kevin Bacon and his wife Kyra Sedgwick celebrated the Fourth of July on their Connecticut farm by performing Chicago's "Saturday In The Park." Bacon shared a video of their hilarious performance on Instagram on July 4, 2023.

"Happy 4th! Beware of goat poop," he captioned the clip

Bacon strummed his guitar gently as Sedgwick approached from behind, playing a kazoo and holding an ice cream cone. As she moved forward, she made sure not to step on the goats' poop on the grass. Meanwhile, the "Footloose" actor struggled to keep from laughing with each step his wife took. Often as Bacon sang, Sedgwick would pipe on her kazoo.

Sedgwick later sang some vocals alone but changed some of the song's lyrics.

"Goats are prancing / Pigs are dancing," she sang, mirroring her environment.

The duo then sang together in perfect harmony, "My wife's eating ice cream," after which Sedgwick bit into the ice cream cone in her hand.

Seconds later, Sedgwick played some notes on her instrument while Bacon encouraged her, saying, "Play that thing." The music eventually came to a slow stop, with both the guitar and the kazoo ending it. Bacon and Sedgwick ended their musical serenade with a kiss, after which they wished their fans a "Happy Fourth of July."

Bacon is popular for often serenading his goats with renditions of his favorite songs. The character actor played Beyoncé's song, "Heated," for their goats in August 2022. Then, the 64-year-old sat on a wooden structure in his white tank top, green pants, and red-and-pink sneakers. "Hot day, hot summer," he sang to reflect the weather that forced him to sit out in his tank top.
