Throughout the history of music, there have been many pop divas who have graced the stage, stunning audiences with their booming vocals and charismatic stage presence. With stars like Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera, and Celine Dion, there’s no shortage of beautiful music to come from talented female powerhouses. When it comes to the current music industry, two of the women who have officially been crowned pop divas are Kelly Clarkson and Ariana Grande.

Sharing the stage together on the 21st season of “The Voice,” the dynamic duo has become great friends and has even shared some beautiful moments performing together. Hosted by Jimmy Fallon, “That’s My Jam” is a new television series that features two teams of two celebrities competing for a charity of their choice as they perform various songs and answer musical trivia questions in hour-long episodes.

In a sneak peek of “That’s My Jam,” Clarkson and Grande performed a pop diva medley in a showdown against one another, each showing off their beautiful voices and mesmerizing performance skills. In a sneak peek of “That’s My Jam,” Clarkson was teamed up with former “The Voice” coach John Legend, while Grande was paired with Blake Shelton. During a segment of the show, Clarkson and Grande were set up to go head-to-head in a mixtape medley showdown, with the category being pop divas. Even though it was a game show, it’s clear that these two vocal powerhouses did not come to play as they showed off every aspect of their voices, singing against one another in a show-stopping showdown.

Each singer did their best to impersonate any pop diva that was thrown their way while still adding their own vocal renditions and flair to the mix. Grande, who is known for doing close to perfect impressions of some of her personal favorite artists, started off the showdown by not only singing but also dancing along to “Oops!... I Did It Again” by Britney Spears.

Legend, Shelton, and Fallon watched on in amazement as Clarkson and Grande continued taking turns singing their randomly selected songs, including “You Oughta Know” by Alanis Morrisette and “How Will I Know” by Houston. The showdown ended with Grande taking on “It’s All Coming Back To Me Now” by Dion, accompanied by her brilliant impression of the notable diva.

With both ladies exuding so much power and talent throughout the performance, it’s hard to say who won the showdown. However, it’s evident that both Clarkson and Grande will go down in history as two of the best singers the world has ever seen. Fans will get to see more of their showcasing in “That’s My Jam,” which premieres on Nov. 29, 2021, on NBC.
