Keanu Reeves Reunites With Alex Winter In 'Bill & Ted Face The Music' 19 Years After Sequel

Bill and Ted from Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure are back! Nineteen years after the sequel, Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey, they are appearing in the eagerly anticipated Bill & Ted Face the Music.

Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves are once again playing the entertaining and not very smart duo. In Face the Music, Bill and Ted get back together, this time as middle-aged men. They then set out on a wild time-traveling adventure, looking for the perfect song that will restore the universe’s harmony. In this version, their daughters are coming along on the quest. Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine are playing the daughters.

Winter and Reeves said production of the third film was entirely driven by themselves in response to requests from fans. Winter said: “It’s all because of you guys. We owe you a huge debt of gratitude so we wanted to say thank you.”

The first movie in the series, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, was released in 1989. The plot revolves around the pair struggling to write a history report and being sent back in time to do some real research on the topic. Jesse Grant/Getty Images The second movie, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, was released in 1991. A pair of Bill and Ted robots are sent back in time to kill Bill and Ted. They meet the Grim Reaper, enlist allies against the robots, engage in a battle of the bands, and rescue princesses.

The venue resulted in the release of an animated TV series and a live-action TV series, both called Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventures. The animated series ran for 21 episodes, and the live-action series ran for seven episodes.

Face the Music is expected to be released on August 10, 2020. Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon wrote the script, and Dean Parisot is directing the film.
