Kathie Lee Gifford Opens Up About Her New Mysterious Boyfriend

When it comes to the vast talents of Kathie Lee Gifford, it seems like there’s nothing this woman can’t do. From singing, songwriting, acting, writing and working as a television presenter, it’s safe to say that Gifford has just about covered it all. Her incredible career first took off during the 1980s, and it seems like she hasn’t stopped since. Some of her most recognizable work includes her 15-year run on “Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee” as well as her 11-year run on “Today.”

Born on Aug. 16, 1953, Gifford was born in Paris, France, to her American parents. After moving back to the United States, Gifford was raised in Bowie, Maryland. It was clear that she had a passion for the arts, as she was a singer of a folk group during high school and went on to study drama and music at college in Oklahoma. It wasn’t long before she finally began making appearances on television.

Gifford went on to star alongside Regis Philbin on “Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee'' for several years. Afterward, she continued to show her star power in the TV presenting world alongside Hoda Kotb on “Today” for just over a decade.

On top of that, Gifford has released music and books throughout her illustrious career and has also had two children, Cody and Cassidy. Even though she is still very busy with her work life, Gifford has found time for true love with a very sweet man. Read on to find out more about her amazing life story.

Gifford has had a very busy life filled with plenty of ups and downs. While appearing on “Today” in November 2021, she shared some of the more recent joyful moments she was experiencing in her life and gave some insights about both her personal and professional lives. 

Speaking with her former co-host Kotb, along with Jenna Bush Hager, Gifford talked about her new book and what her life looks like today. Since leaving “Today” in 2019, Gifford has accomplished quite a lot. She wrote a screenplay, starred in a film, released three books and produced new music. To top it off, Gifford also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

During her appearance on “Today,” Gifford also opened up about the new man in her life. She had previously been married to composer Paul Johnson from 1976 to 1983 and then to Frank Gifford from 1986 until his death in 2015.

Even though Gifford didn’t give many details about her current relationship during the interview, it was clear that she was extremely happy as she was absolutely glowing with radiance, love and positivity. Hager even referred to her appearance as a “love glow.”

“I have a very sweet man in my life,” Gifford said. “He’s good for me, and I’m good for him.” It was clear that she wanted to keep some parts of her personal life private, and so she quickly shied away from giving any more details about the man that was making her feel so happy. “And that’s all that I’ll say about it, because there’s nothing else to talk about,” she said.

According to People, Gifford previously confirmed her relationship back in April, but she has still not revealed the identity of her current partner. 

She said:

“I’m in a really special relationship with somebody that is nice and fun and healthy, so that’s good. It’s just happy, and I don’t want to mess it up, and I probably already have by just mentioning it. To be in a place where you feel like every aspect of your life is good, that nothing’s missing, and that’s a beautiful place to be. I’m just so grateful.”

Gifford also previously expressed how much fun she had with her boyfriend and referred to him as “the smartest person” she’s ever met, according to People. She credited timing as one of the main reasons why their relationship works so well, as they were meant to find each other right now. “We don’t know what the future holds at all, but we’re having fun today,” she said.

Nowadays, Gifford and her boyfriend are still together, and it seems like the former is happier than ever. Speaking with Kotb and Hager, she said, “I’m in a very beautiful season of my life, and I could not be more grateful for it. I feel settled.” She also said that she didn’t feel like anything was missing for her life, which is very rare. “I guess grandchildren, they’re kind of missing, but that’s just temporary,” Gifford joked.
