With much of the world in lockdown, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have begun holding virtual royal engagements amid the coronavirus pandemic. In the couple's first virtual engagement, they spoke with students and teachers from Casterton Primary Academy ahead of the Easter weekend. Many of the staff and students donned bunny ears during the video call, before one of them said "Hope there's chocolate at your house as well." The couple announced that there was, before Kate took the opportunity to troll William by saying, "You keep eating it."

Posted to the official Kensington Palace Twitter page, the short video was accompanied by a caption stating: "Teachers across the UK are dedicating their time to keeping schools open for the children of key workers and vulnerable children. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge called teachers and school staff at Casterton Primary Academy to thank them for their hard work and dedication."

The video begins with Kate and William greeting the students before engaging in conversation. Commenting that the kids' bunny ears were a "strong look" they made a joke that they should have worn some as well. They then proceeded to ask a few of the children their names and discuss drawings that they'd created, which depicted their parents who were working as essential needs workers during the crisis.

One boy named Harris drew his mom, who works for the NHS in administration for the helpers. He said he was really proud of her, before Kate and William told him well done on the picture, and that he should be proud because "they're doing an amazing job, all the NHS workers."

The Duke and Duchess then spoke with a couple of girls, before finishing the video speaking to the educators from Casterton. The royal couple thanked the teachers greatly for their work, and asked for the message to be passed on to all the staff and volunteers for doing a great job.

Kate added a message to all the parents who are key workers, saying that it's great that for their children: "The normality is there for them and they've got the structure and they've got a safe place for them to be. Really really well done to all of you. I know it's not easy circumstances, but it's fantastic."

The teachers then wished the royal couple a happy easter, before one added: "Hope there's chocolate at your house as well." The couple laughed, then William said knowingly, "There will be a lot of chocolate being eaten here, don't worry." This is when Kate used the opportunity to poke fun at William, turning to him and saying "You keep eating it."

It's a very funny moment, and sweet that they left it in for the world to see –– showing that the couple do share a laugh together, while outing William's love for chocolate, which makes him just like the rest of us!

The Duke and Duchess, along with their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, are thought to be self-isolating at Anmer Hall, their country estate. George and Charlotte's primary school, Thomas's Battersea, has switched to remote learning, allowing them to stay at home with their parents.
