Kate Middleton Is Being Called The 'Children's Princess'

Kate Middleton is being dubbed the 'Children's Princess' after her royal engagements devoted towards children's health and development have come one after the other. The 38-year-old has visited nurseries, baby classes and strives to raise awareness about early child development. 

As the late Princess Diana was called the 'People's Princess' Kate is now being called the 'Children's Princess.' According to the Court Circular, the royal mom-of-three has made clear that children's mental health and childhood development are focuses of her public work.

In Lahore, a city in Pakistan, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge went to a hospital specializing in treating children's cancer. It's the same hospital which was visited by Princess Diana, Prince William's late mother in '96 and '97. Dr. Asim Yusuf who showed her around also gave William and his wife a tour.

The royal recently opened a children's hospice which has been dubbed the Nook. This was part of the Duchess' role as patron of EACH, or East Anglia's Children's Hospices. She also worked on a garden project put on by the Royal Horticultural Society. In tandem, they designed a garden to help encourage children to explore and play.

Kate has worked tirelessly on her campaign's towards children's health and development. She recently launched survey campaign which gives people across the U.K. the opportunity to share their perspective on raising children. 

Kate's Under 5s survey is thought to be one of the biggest conversations ever had about early childhood development. The Duchess has said:

 “Parents, carers, and families are at the heart of caring for children in the formative years, so that is why I want to listen to them. As a parent, I know how much we cherish the future health and happiness of our children." 

"I want to hear the key issues affecting our families and communities so I can focus my work on where it is needed most," Kate said urging parents to take her survey. "My ambition is to provide a lasting change for generations to come.”
