The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been fan favorites for years, and one of the best parts of keeping up with this part of the royal family is watching their children grow up in a joyous household.
The couple is particularly prominent in the royal family, given that William is second in line to the throne after his father, Prince Charles, the Duke of Wales. At the time of their marriage, the couple had been together for eight years after they started dating when they were both students at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, where the two completed their undergraduate degrees.

A lot has happened since those days, including the couple's official engagement announcement on Nov. 16, 2010, followed by their wedding, which took place roughly 12 years ago. In 2021, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge celebrated one decade of marriage, which they honored by releasing unseen photos of themselves from their time as a married couple. Since their special day, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been busy building a family, which includes the future king, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The couple has been very prominent in their native United Kingdom, where they are full-time working royals, while they also contribute philanthropically through their official charity fund.

Just in time for the milestone Platinum Jubilee celebrations, on Sunday, Jun. 5 2022, Kate Middleton released new photos of George, Charlotte and Louis baking cakes for the local community.

The queen did something truly remarkable and historical: she was the first British monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee. According to Royal UK, she had been the reigning monarch for 70 years, serving the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms, and the Commonwealth. The palace chose to celebrate the queen's long reign in June rather than February in the hope of better weather. The four-day bank holiday began Thursday, Jun. 2, 2022. The Trooping of Colour also occurred that day, and it is also the day the Platinum Jubilee beacons were lit across the UK. Jun. 4, 2022, was a busy day for the royal family as the Platinum Party was held on the same day as Lilibet's birthday.

As the queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations were in full swing, the Cambridge family was making sure to also take a huge part in the festivities. For starters, the family was spotted at the Party at the Palace special concert Saturday evening. The party featured a concert by top artists.

During the special concert, Prince George and his father, the Duke of Cambridge, were spotted singing along to Rod Stewart's performance of the hit Niel Diamond song "Sweet Caroline." While celebrating the festivities, George and William could be seen singing along to the song and smiling. The fact that the sweet moment was caught on camera surely pleased fans, as they love to catch a glimpse of the young Prince George.

However, the Cambridge family also overjoyed fans once again by posting a photo slideshow of the Cambridge kids baking cakes.

Middleton, who is a keen amateur photographer, is usually behind all of the Cambridge children's official photographs. Thanks to her hobby and talent, fans often get more highly-coveted, candid glimpses of the Cambridge children on special holidays other than their birthdays.

In a post to their official Twitter account, the Duchess of Cambridge shared cute photos of her children baking cakes for the local community. The caption read:

"Baking cakes for the local community in Cardiff to enjoy at a Platinum Jubilee street party taking place today! We hope you like them!"

The street party was one of the many events being held that day as a part of the Platinum Jubilee celebration. As the Big Jubilee Lunch took place, families would gather to celebrate as a community. According to Royal UK, the first Big Jubilee Lunch was held back in 2012 in honor of the queen's Diamond Jubilee. The official website for the event described it as such:

"A once in a lifetime event, this unique Big Lunch is set to be a cracker. Whether it's sharing a cuppa with a neighbour on the doorstep or a bigger bash in the street, join millions of people across the UK to share friendship, food and fun with The Big Jubilee Lunch.

It's the party that's right up your street, and everyone's invited, so let's take to our streets, gardens and neighbourhoods to have fun and get to know one another a little better. Sign up for your free pack to help you get started."

After that the Cambridge family had prepared some sweet desserts, they were off to have a good time during the outdoor celebration!
