Kate Hudson is an A-list actress widely acclaimed for her skills in the entertainment industry. She made her acting debut in 1988 with "Desert Blue" and became famous with her role in the semi-autobiographical dramedy "Almost Famous." Kate received the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her interpretation of the role in the movie.
The actress grew up surrounded by the spotlight, so it wasn't strange for her to follow in that light. Her mom is actress Goldie Hawn who became renowned internationally for acting as a dumb blonde in the comedy show "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In." The show premiered in 1968 and lasted till 1973. Her dad is singer and actor Bill Hudson. However, she and her brother, Oliver Hudson, were raised by actor Kurt Russell.
Hawn and Russell were friends before they kindled their romance. They previously met while filming together in 1966. They only became romantically involved in 1983 after Hawn's divorce while filming another movie, "Swing Shift." The partners were married to other people before getting together and raising their children, Kate, Oliver, and Boston Russell.
While growing up, Kate and Oliver didn't have a relationship with their biological dad. Instead, they were close to Russell. The "Bride Wars" actress lauded Russell on Fathers' Day in 2015 as she wished, "Happy Birthday to the most dependable, strong, authentic, loving and fun Dad! I love you!"
Kate's relationship with her family was also portrayed on July 18, 2023, when she shared pictures of her and her kids and fiance enjoying themselves while on vacation in Sicily, Italy. Continue reading for details.
Kate has three children, each with three dads. The "Raising Helen" star shared that while the arrangement is unconventional, she has gotten the hang of managing relations between her children and their dads because her mom taught her the importance of family from a young age.
Her first child, 19-year-old Ryder Robinson, is from her marriage to The Black Crowes frontman, Chris Robinson. The pair tied the knot in 2000 but separated in 2006 before filing for divorce. They cited irreconcilable differences, and their divorce was finalized in 2007. Kate and Chris have joint custody of Ryder.
Kate shares her second son Bingham Hawn Bellamy with Matt Bellamy, frontman of the rock band Muse. The pair started dating in 2010 and got engaged in 2011. They had Bingham the same year. While their relationship seemed like it would last forever, the couple split in December 2014.
Kate and filmmaker Danny Fujikawa welcomed their daughter, Rani, in 2018, two years after their relationship started. They got engaged in 2021.
Kate is close to her kids and has been known to banter online with Ryder. She previously disclosed that they were close because she had him early. The mother-son duo had a laughable moment in May 2023 when Ryder responded to one of Kate's posts. The "Something Borrowed" actress posted a racy photo of herself online, and her brother Oliver responded to it.
"Jesus No, Kate," Oliver wrote in the comments, to which Kate replied, teasing that more was to come before asking him to unfollow. Ryder joined in the funny exchange and teased that he might unfollow her too. Kate hilariously responded, "Who is this?" sending her followers into a frenzy.

Besides bantering with Ryder, Kate enjoys spending time with him and her other kids. The "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" star went on a vacation with her family and shared a few pictures of their lovely holiday with fans on Instagram on July 18, 2023.
"🇮🇹❤️☀️#sicily," she captioned the carousel, which featured five pictures.
The first picture was of her two sons, Ryder and Bingham, enjoying a cold beverage under the shade after coming out of the water. The second photo showed her fiance, Fujikawa, leaping into the ocean backward, while the third photo showed her sipping a cool drink while her friend, Alexandra Trustman, suntanned behind her. Kate, who was makeup-free, wore a necklace that bore her children's names.
The fourth slide showed Kate's daughter, Rani, with her brothers and a family friend smiling at the camera, while the fifth slide showed her boys bonding with Fujikawa. Bingham sat on a rock while Fujikawa stood on it, and Ryder stood below them. Fans flocked to the comments to gush over the sweet family.
