Actor Keanu Reeves is one of Hollywood’s finest men – and he’s also one of Hollywood’s nicest. On top of having a reputation for being so kind, Reeves is also a bonafide action star whose filmography speaks for itself. Some of his most well-known works include the “John Wick” and “The Matrix” franchises, as well as plenty of films in a variety of genres, such as romantic comedies, dramas and thrillers.
There are plenty of examples out there that show just why Reeves is considered such a nice guy. From the time that he gave up his seat on the subway for a stranger and the various moments he’s shared with homeless people on the streets, listening to their stories, to the many donations he’s given to charities, Reeves is the epitome of a stand-up citizen.
Reeves has also taken the time to show his cast and crew members on the films he’s been a part of just how much they mean to him and how much he respects them and their time.
Reeves has been through plenty of hardships in his life but has continuously bounced back and come back stronger than ever. He also has always left a great impression on those he interacts with, whether it be his longtime friendships with Sandra Bullock and Drew Barrymore or his beautiful romantic relationship with his current partner Alexandra Grant.
The actor has been praised by countless celebrities for his good attitude, including Kate Beckinsale, who credited him for saving her from embarrassment during one major event in the entertainment industry decades ago.
Kate Beckinsale is one of the most recognizable celebrities of our time, and her career began at a young age. Since she grew up immersed in movies, she decided early on that she wanted to become an actress.
Since then, the English actress has appeared in major movies such as “Underworld,” “The Only Living Boy in New York,” “Serendipity,” “White Out,” and many more.
According to a report published by Variety, Beckinsale returned to the Cannes Film Festival in May 2023, where she attended the famed amfAR charity gala event, and it seemed like she remembered a memorable experience during the famous award season that made her take a trip down memory lane.
The actress took to her Instagram account to share a photo of herself walking the Cannes Film Festival for the first time for the premiere of the film “Much Ado About Nothing” by Kenneth Branagh, adapted from the source material written by William Shakespeare.
At the time, Beckinsale walked along with her co-star Keanu Reeves, and she revealed that the actor had helped her with something that could’ve been a disaster that year.
“I had bought the bodysuit in the Sock Shop at the airport and when I got in the car to drive to the premiere with Denzel and Pauletta Washington , all the poppers in the crotch popped themselves open and it flipped up like a roller blind,” she recalled of the horrendous experience.
Initially, Beckinsale had kept it to herself, as she added: “I didn’t feel it was appropriate to go delving around in my undercarriage with all of us in the back of the car so I just quietly panicked.”

Before they walked onto the red carpet, which she considered to be “the biggest” of her life since it was a major event where some of the biggest stars around the world gathered, she told Reeves and Robert Sean Leonard what happened, and they helped her.
“In this picture I am holding the front gusset down and the two of them are holding the back gusset,” she explained how they were able to help her with the wardrobe malfunction.
The actress commended them for their actions as she added: “Absolute legends who may not even have fully understood the physics of what was happening or even heard the word “gusset” before ,but both jumped in to save me no questions asked.”
Beckinsale was not the only person in Hollywood who had a fond memory of Reeves as Drew Barrymore also shared her experience in an episode of her program “The Drew Barrymore Show” in 2021, where the actor was a guest.
At the time, Barrymore said it was her 16th birthday, and Reeves decided to come in. He grabbed her hand and he took her to his motorcycle where she had “the ride of my life.”
“We drove at the warp speed of my life. We went, and you took me on the ride of my life. And I was so free; I was such a free human being,” she said.
It was so memorable for the actress because, at the time, she felt loving her life and “being so happy” was hard because when people grow up, it’s “harder to get that feeling.”
