John Travolta’s Daughter Marks Parents' Anniversary In Flowery Gown & Makes Fans ‘Burst Into Tears’ Over Late Kelly Preston

John Travolta has had an impactful career as an actor. Known as the black-haired stud in “Grease” who stole hearts worldwide, he married fellow actor Kelly Preston, herself a bombshell of her time, and they had a daughter, Ella Bleu Travolta, in 2000. It’s no surprise that Ella Bleu is gorgeous, taking her looks from her parents. 

John himself affirmed this in an interview with People in 2019 when talking about his daughter, who had followed his and Preston’s footsteps to become an actress and singer.

“She is her own person. She is gracious, generous, poised, graceful and gorgeous,” he said. “I don’t know how she came to be, and I don’t take any credit other than just adoring her. And maybe that’s a valid contribution.” 

Ella confirmed John’s contribution when she revealed that he inspired her to go into showbiz. She first saw him in a movie while watching his musical film “Grease.” Since then, the 23-year-old has learned so much from her talented dad. 

“Since I was so young, I probably didn’t put two and two together,” she told Today. “But just growing up with that and always being around him singing and dancing and my other family as well doing all of that, really inspired my love for the arts.”

Ella made her acting debut in 2009 in “Old Dogs” alongside her parents. Acting with them made it easier for the youngster to adjust to life as an actress, and she has since acted in another movie, “The Poison Rose,” with John and Morgan Freeman.

The singer seems poised for a great life in the arts as she made fans cry when they saw a clip of her wearing a dress to commemorate her parents’ anniversary on Sept. 5, 2023. Keep reading for the details.

John and Preston met on the set of the 1987 film “The Experts.” Although Preston was married to someone else, she said in a 2018 interview that she was in the wrong relationship at the time. Preston’s marriage didn’t prevent her love story with John, and the couple started spending more time together.

They tied the knot in 1991 and welcomed three children, Jett Travolta, Ella Bleu, and Benjamin Travolta. The lovebirds suffered a tragedy when their son, Jett, passed away in 2009 at 16 due to an unexpected seizure and resulting fall. 

Jett’s death devastated the actors, and Travolta would later describe his teenage son’s death as “the worst thing that’s ever happened in my life.”

John and his wife got through the incident as a family and were happy when Benjamin was born shortly afterward. However, tragedy struck again when Preston was diagnosed with breast cancer.

The actress lost the battle against cancer and passed away in July 2020. John broke the tragic news to the world, which was unaware of her cancer diagnosis. Writing on Instagram, Travolta said:

“It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer. She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many.” 

The actor thanked the medical practitioners who cared for his wife until her last days and friends and family for their support throughout the ordeal. He also announced that he would take some time off the public view to support his surviving children while they mourned their mom’s death.

John and his kids have come a long way since Preston died. The family survived the tragedy, and although John took a step back from posting on social media, he keeps fans updated with shots of his family from time to time on Instagram.

Ella also regularly posts media of her dad and brother and boasts a large following on Instagram. She also ensures to keep the memory of her mom alive by posting on Mother’s Day and her birthday.

On Sept. 5, 2023, on what would have been the 32nd anniversary of John and Preston’s wedding, John posted a clip of his daughter wearing a flowery maxi dress with pockets and stiletto heels. The song “Shadow of Your Smile” by Andy Williams played in the background as the 23-year-old actress walked across the room with her hands in her pockets.

“Our baby girl Ella in celebration of Kelly’s and my wedding anniversary - I’m so proud of you!! I know mama would be too!” John captioned the clip. 

Fans thought the clip was adorable and commented on Ella’s gesture and her resemblance to her parents.

“She’s such a graceful class act. You and Kelly raised one stunningly gorgeous daughter. How proud you must be✨✨✨,” a fan commented.

A second fan wrote, “Oh my 🙌 she’s grown into a glorious woman. Her angel proud mama smiling down upon you all. Love to you. ✌🏼💙🌈.”

A third fan was very touched and wrote, “Well I just burst into tears. ❤️.” 

Another fan thought that the talented actress took after her parents. “She really is the perfect mix of you both ❤️,” they effused. 

“She would be soooo proud of how her little girl has grown into a beautiful woman & how her dad is raising her 💕,” another fan shared.
