In the last year, John Travolta has shown just how important family is to him. After his wife Kelly Preston tragically passed away from breast cancer in July 2020, the actor acknowledged his dedication to his children, Ella Bleu Travolta and Benjamin Travolta. Following some time out of the public eye in order to heal, the star came back to the spotlight and has been fairly active on social media. Frequently posting tributes to his late wife, John also posts about his kids a lot, making it clear that the Travoltas are one tight-knit family.
Beyond sharing private moments at home, John and Ella even took their family bond to a professional level when they starred in a Super Bowl commercial together for Scotts Miracle-Gro. The ad featured John and Ella in their lush, green backyard, as they recreated the famous hand jive scene from the prom in the movie "Grease." It also poked fun at Generation Z versus baby boomer dynamics and proved to be an incredibly sweet ad.
Now, John is being a doting father once again. Posting to his Instagram account, he shared a sneak peek of Ella in an upcoming live-action remake of "Alice In Wonderland." Dressed in the titular character's signature blue dress, Ella looks gorgeous.
It's an exciting moment for the young actress, who has spoken about wishing to pursue the same career that made both her mom and dad famous. She's had a few small roles before so it's not her first time on the big screen, but this will be her first major starring role.
Taking to Instagram to share how excited he is for his daughter, John Travolta uploaded the photo of Ella Bleu Travolta in her Alice dress. As the movie is a re-imagining, the dress has been given an artistic twist compared to the original. Her iteration features frayed fabric, a tulle bow, and a matching blouse, all in the same shade of blue. Notably, her hair is the same dark brown it usually is, suggesting that her version of Alice will not be a blonde. John captioned the post:
"Here’s my daughter Ella starring in a live action re-imagining of Alice in Wonderland! Called, “Get Lost” I’m a very proud dad!"
Meanwhile, on her own Instagram account, Ella updated her fans about the upcoming film. Wearing the same blue dress, Ella stated:
"Hi everyone I am here in beautiful Budapest, Hungary, filming the modern day reimagining of Alice In Wonderland called Get Lost.
"I am so excited to be here, amazing cast, amazing crew, I can't wait to share it with you guys and I'll keep you posted."
The whimsical dress features different shades of blue and purple and is embroidered with beads, all of which help to bring out her gorgeous green eyes.
Ella plays Alicia/Alice in "Get Lost," which sees her explore Budapest-turned-Wonderland with a mysterious person named William/Mad Hatter. Flipping the original book's iconic characters, many of whom are animals, "Get Lost" transforms characters such as the Cheshire Cat and White Rabbit into humans, as Alice is taken on an enlightening journey through Budapest that expands her mind. The film also stars James Cromwell, Henriette Confurius and Abby Corrigan.

Led by actress-turned-director Daniela Amavia, the filmmaker made her directorial debut in 2014 with "A Beautiful Now." "Get Lost" begins filming this summer in the Hungarian capital.
It will be a big moment for Ella as she plays the lead, however, it's not the first time she'll be appearing on screen. She already made her acting debut all the way back in 2009 in the movie "Old Dogs," which also starred both of her parents, as well as Robin Williams. According to a 2010 interview Ella did with The Celebrity Pulse, she said about the experience:
"It was awesome to act with my parents in my first movie, it made it a lot easier."
Since then she's starred with John once more, in the movie "Eye for an Eye." Although she has no other acting credits to her name, we're sure that her famous dad has given her plenty of pointers. After all, those are the perks of having famous acting parents! Ella opened up to People in 2019 about her dream of following her parents' footsteps, exclaiming:
"Since I was very little, I’ve loved performing, singing, dancing, and putting on shows at home for my family and friends."
From the short social media videos we've seen over the last year as well as her and John's Super Bowl commercial, Ella is proving to be quite a natural in front of the camera. And like most Generation Z kids, she's also big on Instagram, boasting over 524,000 followers. We're sure Ella has a big career ahead of her and this is just the beginning.
